Our friends over at JI are reporting that Barrett was carted off the field this afternoon.

    Anyone able to confirm this?

? Speaking of Barrett, he went down late in practice, crumpling to the field on a brilliant, open-field move by WR Laveranues Coles. Coles caught a short pass and faked Barrett so badly that Barrett stayed in the same spot and went down like an ice-cream cone melting in the stifling heat. He got up slowly and took himself out after one play. On the sideline, he stretched his legs and appeared to be suffering abdominal/groin discomfort. Uh, oh. Remember, Barrett underwent hernia surgery in the offseason.

? CB Drew Coleman also got banged up while defending a long pass to Chansi Stuckey. He appeared to be favoring his hip.

well at least pennington gets hurt because of the big hits he takes all the time. with barrett, you dont even have to touch the guy. he does it all by himself.

Damn...I just picture the Coles move today to when Tomlinson shook Ty Law 2 years ago very badly, thought he broke his ankle.

According to many, Barrett is not that good anyway so it's not as bad as it seems.

He's good enough to cover most teams second receiver and right now that looks pretty good to me.

Obviously Revis will get signed sooner or later but he's going to need some time to catch up to the speed of the NFL.

injuries will kill us...thats the last thing that can happen to us right now...we have 1 spot in the playoffs for us and its the last afc wild card spot (sorry, but NE is AFC East Champs and Denver has the first wild card spot) so we cant get injured, need to stay healthy and be consisent

They were even going down playing baseball yesterday so I wouldn't make too much of it unless they say he is really injured and that wasn't related to the heat.

That's exactly it. Guys are going to cramp up in that weather. I'm not going to worry yet.

Is it any coincidence that late yesterday news broke that camp was being moved today? The team will probably be in a bubble all day.

Winters in the metro area are perfect for football, but summers are for finding good A/C.
