Oh far from, I wanted him to just hit - the media expects something every at bat, I just want him to contribute...It could have been a sac fly, at least he's contributing. The dinger will come, but the wins are much more important. 'I'll take it' as in he's contributing...

the biggest thing for him is that the slump didn't hurt him defensivly..thats the most important take away from all this...he's finally just playing the game...though he was pressing a bit to get the dinger out the way, i hope he realizes its more important to just hit

    19 is the record.

August 10, 1977, 8th inning of Cleveland and Boston.

Kay said that inning lasted EXACTLY an hour...Kartsens sends the 1st two down.

    1-2-3 for Karstens...

His fastball topped at 93. He's got a nice curve...Haven't seen a slider or change yet.

It did break the record for most runs in a second inning.

    Previous record was 14:

    Philadelphia 10 vs Detroit 4, Sept. 23, 1913
    New York 11 vs Detroit 3, August. 28, 1936

Karstens looks good. Imagine Hughes, Kennedy and Chamberlain are all light years better. Oh, so is Sanchez..can't wait until 09.

Very true, until they do it in the bigs its all potential. That plus 2 dollars will allow you to ride the train...for the rest of the summer at least until they raise the fares

    Maybe?!?!

I'd say if he doesn't we've been severely let down.

Wang is no slouch, but come on, Hughes had BETTER be a better pitcher.

I think Hughes will be better then Wang. I think Wang is a good pitcher, but we're talking about a kid who may be a great pitcher.
