I can listen and give you guys some updates for the first little while but when I leave work I will regretfully miss the rest of it. If any of you have it in your car or on your computer, tune into Ch 124 right now!!
Mangini, Nugent, Tannenbaum, Jones, Thomas, Coles, and a bunch of others will be on. He named them all at once, there are prob 3 or 4 more...
Kendall was with second team, Adrien Clarke was in with the first team Kendall talked to media for 20 mins after first practice in his "Chowder-thick" accent....apparently told media he asked his agent to tell the FO that he wanted to be released after beign assigned to the rookie dorm.
why? he has displayed nothing as a team leader. And correct me if im wrong but i believe he is the jets player rep as well. For a guy that is on the downside of his career looking for orlando pace money because he knows he has so few years left is ridiculous. The truth of the matter is that either he knows that someone will pay him more money or that he really dislikes new york. either way why should we give him what he wants. if he is so unhappy have him forfeit his current contract and sit out the season, otherwise let the jets treat him the way the way they want. Regardless theirs no way the jets succumb to his demands.
Thats not "dick" or "gay" ... when you act like a child you get treated like a child... and that's what is being done to him... he's running his mouth out of the house about "family" buisness, and being treated accordingly... I think it's awesome... he's being held accountable for the contract HE SIGNED!!!, and getting what he deserves for running his mouth... I would love to be "Held Hostage" for 1.7 Million dollars... Ellis
Coles on now: He is great but a little tired form ths morning Alot of guys returning this year so they want to improve each area on the offense. He and Chad are on the same page and have a good relationship, always have. They seem liek close friends, not just teammates Schotty is a genius, and Coles hopes he adds some new stuff to the offense He doesnt want just himself and Jerricho to take credit for our receiving last year, named all the other receivers and says those guys help him and Jerricho get their numbers. He said he has never been part of a receiver core as talented as ours is right now top to bottom Thomas Jones is a worker and will be a good fit, thinks he matches the Jets well. He says Stuckey is talented and can be a great player in the league. His talent stands out, has good run after catch potential. His main goal this year is offensive improvement. He says his favourite/best route is whatever route he is asked to run...he dropped one today in practice so he stayed and practiced more after this mornings session. Chris Baker is a good blocker and catcher, brings a new dimension to the team Says Revis is working hard and is willing to learn and likes football, he has already picked up some things from the older guys. Easier to prepare for camp this year because they knew what to expect from last year...he said that last season they kept thinking "maybe tomorrow it will lighten up" but it didn't ever lighten up" so this year they know what to expect. He is honoured to be seen as a tough player...and thats the end of it OK I sadly have to leave work now and will have to miss the rest of the show! Whoever else has Sirius on here will have to take over the thread...sorry.
Thanks for the skinny. I particularly like what he said about "dropping the ball, but stayed longer and practiced harder to make up for it". He seems to be constantly pegged as a malcontent, but there's no denying his passion for the game and willingness to improve. Still, I bet the media will somehow try to spin that interview into him complaining about something again.
Take a paycut this year and we will sit down and renegotiate your wage this time next year  Forward one year , Hi Pete F off. I would do the same for me and my family as well , hold out for as much as I can get , despite loving football like life. Its an act , and as soon as the season starts getting that bit closer everyone will see it. Shit even Briggs signed"!!"
He has the right to be pissed as would I... but you seem to miss the point... it's not something you let out of the house... Something I was taught early, and something you do at work, in you department... or when I was in the Marines... you keep in in your squad, in your platoon, in your barracks... whatever... IT STAYS IN HOUSE!!! otherwise you get treated the way he was treated on day one... now we are gonna push your buttons and try and make you leave, so you look like the idiot you really are... that's basically what's going on... And note to Pete Kendall ... if it really happened that way... GET IT IN WRITING... Somehow, this smells alot like the situation in Arizona and how we landed him... making waves, complaing to the Media, training camp was too hard... WAH WAH WAH... and enough with "my family" stuff... These guys are MULTI MILLIONARES... I'm sick of hearing about how they are just trying to feed my family... people living in Cardboard boxes... they are just trying to feed thier family Ellis
I was there when they Kendall was interviewed, but the Jets really acted immature in the Kendall situation. If half the shit that he said after the morning practice is true, the I dont really blame him all that much. He said that Tanny said his demands were reasonable. They put him in rookie dorms. Just pay him or cut him.
According to the Afternoon Blitz when I was listening on my way home, was that Kendall was out with the team in the second practice running drills with the team. Hopefully he cooled off some and will practice and play, then he will earn his pay.
