Yeah I caught the first part. Part one of an 8 episode series. I htought it was solid. I still have to see more to get a better assessment. FUny giambi was in the taxi screaming reggie we need you here
I wont watch. It reminds me of that crappy Joe Torre movie that was thrown together in 15 minutes after the 96 season. It was horrible I suspect this one will be too. I just dont like these cheap movies/shows that mix in real life clips with the show. Its ESPN. They couldnt afford a bigger budget? HBO at least tried to do it right with 61.
yea he is awful in that role....it almost diminishes the whole show...and the Giambi thing was stupis too, it makes it look like a YES movie
It's pretty funny... But seeing Giambi in the end made me sick...What a clown. Mickey Rivers character is the man
Why do they get guys that don't even look like the guys they're playing? Rose was the worst, Reggie, Billy and Steinbrenner are almost as bad. Bobby Knight wasn't so great, either. ESPN should go back to scores and highlights, leave the comedy and movies for professionals.
didn't think it was that bad......what I really found funny was the clips of the Real Reggie and the real reporter from Sport Mag each trying to convince the audience that their side of the story was the truth......one of em's a blatant liar that's for sure
actually this is a $15 million series with VERY good actors in Tuturro and Platt. it seems like it is a pretty good show so far and not a cheap thrown together thing. i think you should give it a shot.
