Cohesion is a THEORY?!?!? Cohesion is a TRUE FACT, my man. It's what offensive lines and any other unit on the team gains through multiple reps in live-snap situations. Look at any SB-contending team and the common factors are usually that the trench units have been mostly playing together for 2 or 3 seasons. Where are you getting this stuff, it's priceless.
When the players have ability & talent when they do not as ours do it just becomes a theroy. Also KTJF theroy goes out the window cause Kendall is GONE so his cohesion theroy is dead in the water
hahahahaha i dk man i think this tops my posts when i read this i thought why the hell would you post this. <\\\\\\\\=||||||
I agree with the concerns about this oline. At least on the right side. All yards will be tough yards. We will be seeing the same misdirection, short passing and shovel passing and WR gimicks this year to replace what the running game can't produce. This is not negativity but an obvious hole in the offense. Teams will still dare the JETS to outright run on them.
Look, cohesion is a fact regardless of the talent you have on your team, it is a common factor and is why teams try to keep units together when challenging for the postseason, and is what they give up on when beginning a rebuild. And it's also why the Redskins suck every year. BTW: the?o?ry /ˈθiəri, ˈθɪəri/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[thee-uh-ree, theer-ee] There's only so many times I can read THEROY before I start thinking you're talking about THE DONALD's less-fortunate nephew.
instead of making fun at someone why not add a contribution to this thread that will show you have some FB knowledge
wow the negativity gets worse ,when players have ability& talent as are players do not. That settles it right there you are not a jets fan . you hold such disdain for everything Jets that I cant belive you are actually a Jets fan. I dont care how old you are or how many games you have been to your just sorry. Cohesion is a true fact ,how about all the guys on the roster that dont see much playing time and guy's on the practice squads; the more snaps they get the more time they play in 1st units or 2nd units they just might be able to break into the active roster and get playing time due to the departure of the unwanted players . There I go again with lignting in the bottle theory ,but Iv seen it before.
As usual anyone optimistic that cohesion on the OL will make up a little bit for the lack of talent, has rose colored glasses and everybody including the realists that do not subscribe to the cohesion theory but can make salient points why, has to get drowned out by the negative nancy in order to pound into your skull why the Jets are 0-38 in the SB and completely suck at almost every position. Ok we all get it the jets are 0-38 since 1969 and suck. Now back to the discussion: I think the line will be a little bit above mediocre because cohesion will add a little bit more than the lack of talent will subtract. There is something to be said for keeping interior lines intact. But that is before I take the green colored glasses off.
Lol I was wondering when someone would actually break out websters...how many times can you spell theory wrong while trying to have a debate on something? It certainly doesn't help his chances of proving his point. Anyone who doesn't understand the concept of an offensive line having cohesion should barely call himself a serious fan. No one is saying that talent doesn't matter, but there are DC's who are paid to design schemes that confuse and attack the Oline. This isn't some 1v1 bullrush drill, guys have got to know where to go and when. You can be the strongest man in the nfl, if you aren't where you need to be to pick up the blitz then what good is he. Of course, when champs involved with a thread it's best to just shrug it off and ignore the ramblings of an old man UNLESS your bored and don't mind wasting your time trying to convince him of anything. I don't think I have seen champ give an inch in any of his arguments.
Any Jets fan not concerned with the OL is deluded. However, there are some positives that many others on here have already posted (i.e. cohesiveness and continued development of our 2 1st rounders). Anyone willing to go ahead and call the season over (a la champ) obviously prefers to dwell on the negative and should therefore be left to their own misery. To add to the positives I would like to mention the 2nd year of Chad (regardless of what anyone says the man is a smooth operator of the "no-huddle") in a complicated offense that relies heavily on trickery to keep the D line on their toes and a step behind the offense. Watching back through many of our later games last season I am in awe of Schottenheimer's system and eager to see how they advance it this year. Of course, just to factor in one potential retort, opposing teams will be more alert to our strategies, as we will not be so under the radar this year. This is what makes football so much fun!
