That in itself makes the entire list irrelevant, although it did not have any merit to begin with.

I understand what everone is saying about CJ, but the list was presented as a PREDICTION of performance NEXT year. So this is not a list of the best receivers, but who he thinks will excel next year.

Still I hate Smith...another guy who has no business in broadcasting. All BS, no substance.

competely agree with Marvin at the top... modest and underated at times because he lacks ego!

Somehow I knew Tj Houz would show up below or off Jet fan rankings if a poll like this ever came out.

Harrison and Wayne won the SB last year and frankly i would take Harrison and Wayne over Chad Johnson, Andre Johnson, TO, or any other receiver on there. Calvin Johnson shouldnt be on the list. i mean ANY detroit WR shouldnt be on the list.

Maybe? Why would you even consider taking coles over wayne and evans? They're just better players and are both have more years ahead of them. Coles could be shot after one more big hit. You never know.

    #1 spell burress right
#2 mike furrey cannot be there
#3 Isaac bruce is a decent number two now nothing more
#4 Darrell jackson!? I think in order to be a top 25 receiver you need to be able to catch.
#5 You cannot put colston and cotch above housh because they had only one good year so far.
#6 As long as marvin is still in the league no one else will be number 1 as far as i'm concerned.

Chris Chambers is a waste of human existence. Ricky Williams is a better receiver and has prolly caught more balls...

Same can be said about any WR in the game, no? I would take Coles over both Wayne & Evans. No question about it..

You have to take into account that Wayne has been lining up next to Harrison and has had Peyton throwing him the ball his whole career. Put Coles in that O and he is a top 5 WR..

Evans is a one trick pony. He is a burner that can beat a DB deep. That is it..Good WR yes but not the all around WR that Coles is..

I dont think the receiver position works that way. I think it's a positon that relies heavily on ability and athleticism. As a franchise/team on the rise i would rather have wayne or evans. I also think lee evans would be much better on a team with another target to throw to.

Chambers is one of the most overrated receivers in the game. He is a slot receiver, nothing more, and that is where he had his good seasons, in the slot.

As a starter he has done nothing, he can easily get shut-down, he can make a Sportscenter catch, but then drop an easy one numerous times...

Chambers 11th best? Not even close.

And Evans may be just be a 1 year wonder...I don't think he will be but I'm going to wait one more year before defiantly saying he is a better player.A lot of people were saying Chris Chambers was a better player than Coles before last season.

Wayne is good player but quite similar to Coles, both excel at route running, work all over the field and can make the tough catch. But I feel he'd put up similiar numbers to Coles if you take him away from Manning and Harrison.

I found an interesting flaw in this writers rankings;Lee Evans has better career numbers and one more TD than Roy Williams last season.Williams did have 18 more yards last year but there is a 10 place gap between Williams Evans on the list.

The list is mere opinion but Calvin should at least play in an NFL game before he gets a ranking.
