Someone had to start the thread...

Friday: Tom Glavine vs Len DiNardo (former Mets minor leaguer)
Saturday: Orlando Hernandez vs Joe Blanton
Sunday: John Maine vs Joe Kennedy

Oakland is currently 39-32, six games behind the Angels for first in the AL West. They have gone 6-4 in their last 10 games.

    No Piazza this weekend
    No Haren this weekend :)

Rich Harden has been activated off the DL and will be pitching in relief as he "rehabs" his way back into the rotation.

I've just done my part to help end this streak of terrible baseball and terrible starts by Glavine. My last $10 in my betting account is on the A's to win outright. I know its not a lot but its something. My betting luck is worse than the Mets luck these past 3 weeks so lets hope for the best.

Nice, another lead for Glavine to blow.

Good thinking Jose, I'm sure 2 runs is going to win this game.

Nice at bat for Lo Duca.

Ron loves the leadoff man bunting with no one out. Sigh.

Ooh, interesting debate raised by Gary - should Rusty Staub be in the Hall of Fame? I say no. He was very good for a while, good for a long while, but was never in even a single year the best player at his position in the league. That to me is not in any way a Hall of Famer. Opinions?

Ron's mother was 16 when he was born? That's probably an interesting story.

Beltran showed some good hustle in making the SS make a bad throw.

Weird play there, as Wright gets a very cheap hit.
