Which newcomer to the AFC east will have the most impact. Incredibly Moss is winning at the moment. http://www.nfl.com/home NFL POLL Which newcomer to the AFC East will have the largest impact? 40%Randy Moss 23%Trent Green 21%Thomas Jones 14%Adalius Thomas 2%Derrick Dockery Total Votes: 11747
IMO, a WR, no matter how good, can have have the impact of a RB or WR, just simply for the fact that he's only going to touch the rock 10 times a game, tops, whereas a QB touches it every play, and the RB will usually get 25-30 touches...
it has to be green, if a team that didn?t have a snaptaker for a decade gets one of the top 3 QBs of the last 5 years, noone can compare with the impact he has. A young Jerry Rice coulnd?t push the pats game more than green could push the phish game.
Sorry, but I'm with the masses. Moss it is. He instantly improves the team, period. With Brady there, its a connection so volitile there is no way it's not the biggest impact, it'll damn sure make the biggest explosion. Trent Green will help out a lot, but with no McMichael and two WRs that can't catch anything that hits them in the chest (and that's where Green puts it), he's out of luck. He's a huge signing, but he's limited by his teammates, Moss is not.
I can't argue with Moss leading the voting, hell, I think he has a great chance at being this seasons "Comeback Player of the Year"
I would go with Adalius Thomas first, then Thomas Jones, then Trent Green (only because he's guarenteed to start - don't think he'll be especially good), then Randy Moss
I have no doubt he will be. I mean if he doesn't get hurt, he's got receiving title in his sights as well. I mean this combo is just plain scary.

Partiots win the preseason prediction contest. I remember when the Rams used to win all of those, until they abruptly disappeared right at the height of their success, after threatening to make it in a couple of times.
Guys. Seriously. Sportnation voted and the Patriots won. So I guess I'll see you all in fall of 2008 cuz no one else has a prayer this season. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go out now and buy my Patriots Superbowl XLII Champions hat and T-shirt. What? They aren't out yet? What's the hold up?
at least we can pick another LT then next year, with the first overall sellection, cuz we had to move Brick to WR when he dropped below 200lbs, and since Pennington isn?t able to throw the ball more than 10 yards it doesn?t matter if our WR?s can catch. Thomas Jones won the Fumbling title, since his biceps got so big, that there wasn?t any space for the ball anymore, and he had to carry it with both hand all the time. McCarains and Stucky have been cut by Mangini, cuz they they got a parking ticket, they got picked up by the colts and became Mannings 2 Go-to-Guys. Kendall made the probowl with the Dolphins an got a 100 M deal over the next 2 years. The Jets Picked up Culpepper who became best freind of DRob and the 2 went to a Chinese all-you-can-eat Restaurant 5 times a week for the hole Training Camp due to that DRob put up 100 pounds of weight and became the best 34 NT to ever play, he was the first active player to make the Hall of Fame. And Culpepper became our Starting LG. what i wanna say is: it?s Offseason and everyone is making big storys from nothing, the team with the biggest Headlines is on top of that ranking, that?s how simple as it is. If we would have made the Thomas deal last week we would probably get about 30% in those polls. edit: sorry, abyzmul if i took your job for a minute.
No, but if he returns to anywhere near the production he had in Minny he will have a legit shot. He will have come back from a career that was rapidly going down the drain back to being a top WR. I'm trying to think of some other players that might have a shot and not too many are coming to mind - maybe Jamal Lewis if he has a good year, or Chris Simms if he eventually starts over Garcia and performs well. Rothlisberger may also have a shot, if he plays like he did before all that shit went down last year. Can anyone think of some others?
