β€œHe’s definitely ahead of where I was when I walked through the doors,’’ Laveranues Coles said.

We all know what hes capable of , but we don't know how vulnerable his injury is to flairing up again.
I think he will make roster , just hope he can stay fit and build on getting stronger because he does look exciting.

The jets are still looking for a deep threat????? Some teams have 3, can we just sign one!!!!!!!!!

Honestly I think Coles and Cotcher can get deep often, it's just that our QB has a ginerbread Arm.

All I remember is Pennington to Moss for 47 yds right on the money. The lack of a deep threat hurts.

Pennington certainly doesn't have a strong arm, but I just get a laugh out of people who probably can't throw a ball 20 yards in the air saying someone has a "ginerbread" arm

    Thats one of my favorites.

How long do you need to watch football to see that the deep ball is timing ?

IMO its not the distance or even the accuracy by which a deep ball is graded. any QB at or above the college level can heave a deep ball with decent accuracy, some better than others.

CP's bad footnote centers around the 20-30 yard patterns, whether they are sideline or seam routes, and the consistent lack of velocity on those throws - in certain situations.

as we all know, most of his throws are based on timing and occasionally his 20-30 yard throws are things of beauty - when he is protected, when the receiver breaks correctly, and when it is against the right defense.

However, against a tough man to man defense, without good protection, and without a stellar running game - the 20-30 yard "stick" throw is not part of his game plan and IMO hurts the jets ability against good teams and their ability to come back from say more than 10 pts.

we all have gone over this again and again but i never had a problem with the distance of his throws - its the other factors that have to be in working order for his success and over the last 2-3 years we have not had much success with protection, running game and stellar WR play.

    I agree.

However, given 2 of those three things, he could have years like 02, every year.

I love it with this accuracy thing with the deep ball. When you have a burner and a Qb with an arm 80% of the time they sling it up the field and the Wr runs under the ball. Does anyone actually think Dante Culpepper or Brett Farve have great accuracy. They throw the ball up the field and the wr's go and get it. Chad can not hit a reciever downfield after 40 yds if he is wide open!

Why do you laugh??? Is it funny watching Coles get his bell rung for no reason of his own???

He has a weak arm, I don't think that needs to be discussed anymore. Can he throw a perfect deep ball that squeak by the defense every once in a while.... of course. I don't think there isn't a starting QB in the League couldn't do it once in while. More often then not he under throws open recievers and makes the fight for pass he air mailed, because his arm is weak. So can't is something I didn't say. 1 of 20 trys means you are really bad. Can is really bad. Needing everything to go perfect with pertectionn and the right D and the perfect route, means the quarterback that needs all those factors is not good at doing what you are asking him to do.

I like Chad, but I say he has a ginger bread arm because the wind loves to eat his throws....

I have to disagree with one thing you said here. He can't even throw the deep ball when there is no wind. He under throws or hangs out receivers to get killed when it is 80 degrees, no wind and Sunny. The swarming winds at Giants Stadium is just another weak chad defense.

Stuckey has a great chance to stick especially since the team wants to unload McCariens in either a trade or an outright cut.

Chad is the only Qb where we have to try and point out the same five passes he has thrown down Field. I bet there are way more he didn't complete.

    Who uses blue font..

I like Stuckey, in a few years I could possibly see him stepping up when Coles leaves.
