That's great to hear that there is only one absence. It really shows that either the team is scared shitless of Mangini, or, the more likely alternative, that they are really buying into his coaching. This really is great news. He is 100% right about building chemistry. A little off topic but, my junior year of HS ball no one gave a shit cuz no one liked the coach and didn't go to practice - hence we only own 4 games. Then my senior year we got a new coach and everyone bought in and everyone went to every single practice and stayed late and what not and we were such a better team.
that's strong that the only absence is kendall, and he might get traded too, so it looks like the whole team is gonna be on the same page. i like that mangini is a tough sob, but there's no sign of the team quiting on him like with groh. i think mangini is doing a hell of a job here and i love his plan for our organization.
Actually I don't think that Mangini comes off to the players as "tough" or a disciplinarian. I think he is viewed as demanding, but compassionate, balanced and fair. His work ethic is being embraced by the team because everyone knows that he will do whatever he can for his team and players and they return that comittment. It is a subtle difference between someone like Coughlin, but a big one.
the guy who mentored Brick and Mangold and was the staple of the line and you wanna say screw him? Quite unintelligible.
Are we sure that's the whole article? I'm quite positive the next paragraph rips the team for dumping the best qb on our roster since Joe N.
