...the Yankees suck chant at Shea needs to die a painful, horrible death. It's beyond embaradding to hear a bunch of assholes chanting it during a Mets-Yankees game when the same fans should go and support their team instead (I miss the days of the Mike Piazza chant). In addition to that, it's about a hundred times more embarassing when I hear people chanting it during a Mets-Brewers game. Seriously, Mets fans just look like envious, jealous jackasses when they do this. Discuss.
It's usually started when there is some obnoxious Yankees fan stirring up sh$t at Shea. I don't think it comes out of no where.
co-sign. Ive said it before. Not only thiss but the love affair w/ the yanks in relation to how you feel about your team. Got Miilledge? and Got Playoffs? shirts are just a joke
Well I'd like to just commend you on your impeccable timing, great time to bring up the topic of Mets fans chanting "Yankees Suck" in the midst of the Yankees losing 4 of their last 5 (soon to be 5 of 6) getting hammered by the hapless Jays after getting swept by their daddy's the Angels and being 6 games under .500. Yep, just great timing on your part, especially coming after the day Yankee fans booed their Skipper off the field. Damn those ignorant Mets fans.
Upon further review, it looks as though this guy is actually a Mets fan... I have to learn how to read past the first sentence of a paragraph next time. Although the timing is still baffling.
What about like now, in Toronto... is it okay for them to be chanting Yankees suck? Because I hear them doing it... Damn those Canadian Met fans!
Give me a fuckin break, it happens when Asshole Yankees fans stand up all decked out in yankees gear and think theyre making a statement. In reality theyre just showing their true colors by being the obnoxious douchebags that they are. The chant stems from that, not from us mets fans being envious.
As a Met fan, it bothers me too. It always reminds of a column Bill Simmons wrote...I don't know if anyone brought his book, but it's "Blood Feud", and it pretty much sums up why it shouldn't be done (though it's from a pre-2004 Red Sox perspective, same idea).
so the Yankees suck chants only happen in shea when there is a Yankee fan there to cause it? I don't think so.
 oh? What would that have to do with the fact that Yankees suck chants are a staple of Met games at Shea?
That's not what anyone is saying...are Met fans supposed to agree with what other Met fans do just on principle?
Maybe that has to do with the fact that overly-obnoxious douchebag Yankee fans are a staple of Met games because they're fucking losers with nothing better to do but condescend with their 26 rings and all that other horseshit.
