For the first time in his NFL career Chad has had an injury free season , should we be keeping him healthy and protecting him , remeber the Giants game?
In the pre-season games should Chad be taking a majority of the snaps? We all know his strengths and weaknesses , but what do we know about Kellen Clemens?
Kellen has now seen how the NFL works and whats expected. If this kid is the real deal which is what is widely been reported I would like to see alot more of him.
    Thoughts?

Chad is going to start but he won't play alot except for the Giant game b/c that is the 3rd preseason game where the starters play into the 3rd qtr.

I'd like to see Chad get in some good work because I don't think we're so great that we can do without that, but more important to me is to get a real look at Clemens. It's not because Chad is fragile or because Clemens is the future, it's just that backups need work, too. I'd like to see him play most of game one, start and play good minutes in game two and get maybe a half in game three.

    Chad is a rock nowadays.
It is his destiny to lead us to a Super Bowl. We dont have to worry about him getting injured anymore.

But yes Clemens needs major reps in all preseason games.

Chad starts one drive first game, progressively more work. Clemens will get a majority of the snaps with the first team during the preseason. I guess tuiasosopo gets in some reps as well, although I want to see the kid from Utah

Clemens should start so we can see what he has. No way Chad makes it another whole season. He is just like Abraham, one and done, back to riding the pine.

I am so glad the Jets saw the light and let him go. Atlanta paid all that money to see him on the sideline.

Chad is not the answer anymore so why pretend.

Chad will start but Clemens will get most of the playing time except for the third game. Looking forward to seeing what Kellen has going into his second year.

    Really not a big deal.

1st preseason game - expect Chad to play at most 1 or 2 series; not to go beyond 1 qtr of play. A heavy dose of Clemens and who ever is vying for 3rd string Brad Smith/Touia????

2nd preseason game - basically the same, but expect Chad to play a bit more, but still may not go 2 full qtrs.

3rd preseason game - the same, with Chad going 2 full qtrs and into the second half for a series or 2.

4th preseason game - basically a carbon copy of 3.

    Chad's preseason workload:

1-2 drives in preseason game 1.
2-3 drives in preseason game 2.
Whole 1st half and 1 drive in the 3rd quarter in the 3rd preseason game.
Not a snap in the last preseason game.

this season we will definetly find out what a waste of a good draft pick we gave for clemens. games 1 and 2 we will see a heavy dose of tui and clemens and chad with the starters for the later games.

He'll play the normal amount a starting QB plays.

    Game 1: 1-2 drives
Game 2: Into the 2nd quarter, possibly whole half depending how long the offense was on the field.
Game 3: Whole first half, and a drive or 2 in the 2nd half
Game 4: Not at all, or one drive at the most.

How can you pass judgment on Clemens when he hasn't even seen any meaningful playing time yet?

A little premature to call him a "waste of a good draft pick," don't you think?
