Hey guys, I'm in grad school at university of miami and Im moving out of my current apt which had Directv. I bought NFL ticket last year, but in my new place I have comcast which obviously doesnt have it. Just wondering if any of you guys lived in/around miami and knew a great place to watch Jets games this year. There are some good spots to watch games, but I'd rather be around a bunch of other Jets fans while we dominate this year.

I watched the games in Davie at Don carter's lanes (Hammerheads is the bar I think lol cause I never paid attention). There was usually at least 50+ on game day. The S. Florida jets club watches the games there every week.

Also you may want to try Gatsby's in Kendall, which would be west of U of M.

I've always found Gatsby's to be the best. I know for a fact that the one in Boca Raton is a Jets bar but thats way out of the way for you, but from what i hear, the others also have a big jets fan crowd

Hammerheads is great. Lots of Jets fans show up there. Last year was great. They gave out prizes, autographs, etc. South Florida Jets Fan Club. Of course, being in Miami myself, I call Pro Player Stadium "Meadowlands South". My best friend gets so pissed for that but he admits we own them down here. Go Jets!!

I'll chime in with some of your other replies, the South Florida Jets Fan Club is the place to watch a Jets game, have done it myself, you go inside, sign up, and you'll get free bumper stickers, t-shirts, stuff like that. I watched the Jets-GB game there last year. Pretty good food and lots of Jet fans, sometimes as many as a hundred. The bar changes names, I think it's hammerhead now, located inside a bowling alley on University Drive between Stirling and Griffin Roads in Davie, Florida.

Hammerjack's, at Don Carter University Lanes is located at 5325 S. University Dr., Davie, FL. 33328 between Stirling Road and Griffin Road on the west side of the street...There are currently over 200 members in our Club.

The following list below will describe the setup at Hammerjack's and also what you'll be receiving as a member of the South Florida Jets Fan Club:

    (1) Separate entrance

    (2) One very large room

    (3) Can fit 175 people comfortably

    (4) Non-smoking establishment

    (5) One huge TV screen (can be seen from the very back of the bar)(6) 18 27' TV's strategically located

    (6) One large Bar area

    (7) Game room (Pool tables, Video games)

    (8) Jet discounted food (good variety) menu / drink specials

It's a state of the art Sports Bar.

The only thing you would have to do is send an e-mail to southfloridajetsfanclub@yahoo.com and what they will do is add your e-mail address to our members e-mail list so that you will be included in the weekly e-mails that are sent to all the members during the football season. E-mails during the off-season are also sent out regarding any activities of the club and also any information about our JETS team too. We have members that come from Palm Beach County, Broward and even the Dade County area too....

    Hope to see you there.

    Peace out.
