Don't listen to these guys Fleming, this is the most intelligent well thought out post I've seen at the GG this entire Offseason. I agree 100%.

Keep spreading the Cheer man, keep spreading the cheer.

I'm still trying to figure out how one doesn't "count" a Super Bowl victory just because he wasn't alive to see it. That's historical revisionism at its finest.

So am I to understand that a 49ers fan born in 1996 shouldn't "count" their five SBs as long as he lives even if the team never wins another one?

Dude, you're lost. Go root for the Browns or the Lions or better yet, the Cardinals, for a few years. Then come back and let us know how we are all losers for supporting this franchise.

Fleming-I'm old enough to have seen us win, I actually have an excuse for being a Jet fan. Give me some insight into why you are a Jets fan? Is this just a rant out of frustration? Are you just trolling? At some point as a young man you were taken to a game by a parent, relative or friend and it was one of those experiences that will stay with you for a lifetime? Was it a play or a player? There has to be something that hooked you? There always is and it's usually very deeply ingrained into us.

I respect the frustration, and you obviously have some brains and emotion tied up in the Jets. It would be nice to have some real give and take on this. I think you should take this opportunity for some free group therapy.

Let me translate for those that don't read TROLL

    1) If we exclude any of the good years from the franchise history we have the worst history of any franchise
    2) We haven't taken a Marino or Sapp in every draft. We don't know what we are doing. It look especially bad when I ignore our good drafts
    3) My name is Bob Jensen and I have no life. Please recognize me
    4) I can't think on my own and get excited because some newspaper told me to be
    5) Ignoring the successful coaches in our History, we have terrible coaches. It is also important to ignore the success of coaches after the moved on.
    6) "Our most popular Fans is a moron" - This one was tough, who are the fans and why aren't they morons? I think what he meant to say is "I am a moron because I am former Dolphan"
    7) I am a loser and it is my dads fault
    8) I have no hope for the future and plan on shooting myself. But lets place the blame on someone else.
    9) Because I am a loser (stated above) I assume that all who post on this board is a loser.

I've been a loyal Jets fan since the 60's. They are my team. I have fun rooting for them. Football is a great sport. I have no say in running the Jets. I rejoice, complain, am happy and sad along with all the Jets fans. If you really don't like being a Jets fan be a fan for someone else. Only one team can win the Super Bowl each year. I have a feeing lots of other teams fans are in similar boats as we. It's just NY is a large market and when you fail you fail infront of the world.

Best put on your very, very best armor as some of those green glassed NYJ fans you mention in your post will start accusing you of being me under a different forum name. You certainly hit the nail right smack on the head though with your post IMHO anyway

Guess everyone is entitled to their opinion.

He should have chosen "Flaming" over "Fleming", though.

It is too early on St. Patrick's Day for threads like this. I would have expected this type of nonsense when:

    a) you are drinking

    b) you are drunk

    c) you are hungover

Since you are a self-loathing Jet fan, I recommend that you consume one case of beer and re-edit this post in the morning.

Until then, the doctor is out...

Heheehe. I didn't know Dick had an account here. How's your friend doing after you shot him during that hunting expedition. And if you wanna' really find an official that has dropped the ball in almost every sense during his term you don't have to look any further than your boy whose in the white house right now. Mr. Bush you troll. It's a great thing that America was a juggernaut financially when he got there, otherwise, true to form your boy in the white house would've run her right into the ground like he has any other company that he's been in charge of. Mull that over then commit virtual suicide please. Or have a coke and a smile and shut the **** up. That's all I have to say about that....

Who the hell could be "green glassed" if they support the Jets? I'm not, and our history means you can't be. I don't think we're a year away from the Super Bowl. I don't have an wild expectations of near-term success.

But please answer me this question: if the Jets bring so much dismay, disappointment and sorrow to your lives, why don't you move the F on with your life? I mean, couldn't your time be better spent with your family, volunteering in your community, rooting for the NFL flavor of theyear? It's like your a glutton for punishment. Figure out a way to redirect your self loathing into a more positive pursuit.

Well U R one of the Green Glassers I am referring to. Dispensing MISINFORMATION for the last year or so on Herm shows your FB knowledge is zero or better then that below zero. Instead of attempting to lecture me or drive me away go bone up on your FB knowledge so that we can have a decent discussion on the NYJs. BTW have you yet assessed whom will be playing for us & where for the 06 season & do you think if you have that any of them are game changing players?
