i agree... even though i have to like pray that its a hard enough pass everytime he releases the ball. But winning is winning and Pennington seems pretty good at it.

And he would be even better if they found someone to take Chrebet's place. A third down posession receiver.

Clemens is gonna keep learning the system and eventually he'll get his chance. Why rush him? Look how good guys do when they're not given a real chance til they mature (Brady, Romo, etc.). Throwing good QB's into the fire too early is a bad idea.

Pennington is great for now, he has everything a QB needs for our system (minus a good arm). So if Clemens can learn from him, he'll be even better eventually cause he actually does have a pretty good arm.

All I gotta say, is you're almost two months too late to make that prediction.

Go to the Crystal Ball page and check out my predictions I made back in march. Read my number 1.

Well Bill.....I guess only the blind can't see. I agree with most of ur predictions. I see the Jets' will be improved as a team, but because of the stronger sked', they may have a worse record & not make playoffs. That isn't such a bad thing, because they will draft higher & be able to select better available players.......Which are greatly needed.

If we make the playoffs under this schedule, and with this roster, then Mangini is the real deal. We have the talent to somehow pull it off, no question about it, but the odds are in favor of us missing the playoffs given the strength of our competitors in the AFC. The Chargers, the Pats, the Colts, the Ravens, Cincinnati and Jacksonville I feel are all better teams than us in terms of raw talent. Denver had a bad draft and a bad offseason, so I hook them in with us, and I put the Steelers and the Titans in for it as well. With us having one of the strongest potential schedules of the teams that we can compete with for a wildcard slot, the odds are not favorable for making the playoffs. If we make do somehow, then great. Once you make the playoffs, all bets are off.

Now, this is all depending on what I prospect us having on average next season. If we exceed expectations, then we're in for a fun 2007 season.

I agree, Chad's still good enough and Clemens will be better off sitting out another season.
