Vilma can be sucessful behind a legit 3-4 D line (A true NT and big DE) He needs big lineman that can eat up double teams and keep interior linemen off of him. If the jets address that need, Vilma will return to borderline pro-bowl form. The guy has great speed and coverage skills, as well as all the intangibles. Would i like him to have prototypical ILB size? Of course. But as a Jets fan, id hate to dump him for any type of realistic package (I doubt any team would give up a first rounder) We already know the worst case scenario for vilma (last year) Id be 100% shocked if a guy as smart and dedicated as vilma doesnt make massive strides in the 2nd year in this system with this coaching staff. Id never say that he's untradeable, but i dont believe any team would pony up the package that would satisfy me if i were the jets GM. His value is at an all time low right now and teams (other than the red skins) value draft picks too highly.
