With the draft coming up soon..i am getting extremely excited to see how this will pull out. Even though I think D'Brick and Mangold were the best possible picks and I am loving how they are turning out, I wasn't extremely excited with them.

With Mangini going through his second draft at HC and mostly solidifying the Oline last year, I think hes gonna draft a player that ahs us all screaming. Either a big time corner, pass-rushing OLB, or Olsen. I would be so happy if we address those positions in the first 2 rounds as they will have a serious chance to make HUGE gamebreaking plays for us. Anyone else wish these next 10 days will just disappear already and get to the draft?

Do you think our FO will be drafting with the purpose of getting the fans excited by there pick(s)? Olsen would definitely get me fired up - so fired up that I'd have to destroy my TV.

edit: The upgrades to our OL are far from complete.

I wonder if the genius Tony Kornheiser is praising Reggie Ball's draft prospects. After all unlike Pennington, Reggie has a 'cannon' and can wing the ball 60 yards in the air. So what if he completes 30 percent of his passes!

While I share your enthusiasim on the draft, I do not think that the jets are going to be alble to draft the playmakers you are looking for. By the 25th pick the best CBs and OLBs will be gone and the Jets may not have enough "capital" to trade up to get them. I hope they sit tight and get the best player that falls to them hopefully a Offensive lineman that can improve the running game.

I'm not saying that upgrading the OLine is a bad pick..i loved it last year. By far the best thing for the franchise. Im just saying that now we have a stable base and I think we can add other positions that are in my eyes more exciting. Some you read my message completely wrong and maybe I needed to be more clear..i don't expect the FO to draft based on what I want, but drafting 2 O lineman and a backup QB in the first two rounds of last year just wasnt the most exciting and im looking forward to this year.

I think I would be willing to package our second round picks to move into the end of round 1 so we can walk away with the best OG and CB left on the board (assuming Barrett is on his way out). In the 3rd round I'd take the best OLB left on the board.
