DAVID BOWENS hilarious on NFL Radio Movin' the Chains with Pat Kirwin and Tim Ryan

He is a great guy and really funny. He gave an awesome interview witht he guys and seemed really open and talkative. They talked abotu all kinds of stuff, and he said how he likes the atmosphere at the Jets' facility. He said Mangini's door is open to every player, not just the starters.

He also said he doesn't have ill will towards Nick Saban, he thinks he meant well and would have stayed but the Saban probably realised the college game is meant for him and just went back to where he is comfortable. He compared it to when you go to the dance with a girl and while you are there you see another girl that you think might be better, so you go hang around her for a while but then you realise that the girl you came with origiinally has more that you like, so you go back to the original chick.

Anyways, the funniest thing about the interview was the very last question, Pat Kirwin asked if he had ever been dumped by a girl, and when was the first time. So, Bowens told a story about a girl he met at Sunday school and he went to school with and had been hangin around with...his grandpa took him to a flea market where he bought her a cheap ring and told his buddies that he was gonna ask her out so all his buddies waited around after school one day while he went and asked her...and she says "Hell No!"....and then he hit her with his lunch box! He said he got suspended from school for it, it was when he was in grade 3... and he remembered her name, Alicia Mason....

It was funny as hell, he seems to be a character.....

Hehe, I actually met Lawrence Phillips when I was stationed in Nebraska, he was doing an autograph signing at a mall during part of the time he was jobless... I think it was right before he got signed by Jimmy Johnson in Miami. A friend of mine wore a wifebeater to the signing and asked if he could sign his shirt and they had him escorted from the mall.
