One of the biggest reasons many Jet fans did not support the WSS was the issue of PSL's. Now Jay Cross is admitting there might be PSL's at the new Jet/Giant Stadium in NJ.

Let me ask you a question...if you knew you'd get PSL's either way, would you change your mind on the WSS...

My dad pays for my tickets, so I'm not going to respond to the poll, but I wonder if the Giants will be issuing PSL's for the same seats, just a different team as well. THey're going to build the stadium and make a profit doing it!

PSL or no psl, A stadium for the Jets to call their own is what the Jets needed. Such as the West Side Stadium. That in my opinion was the Jets greatest mistake. Also for Christ's sake a team in nyc not NJ

GG you should have another option on there; Supported WSS all the way regardless of PSL's.

I'm from the outskirts of New York City, and my father pays for the tickets as well so I can't say completely. But I'm pretty sure he would've given up the tickets had their been PSL's in New York City especially for the money and other personel reasons.

That's why I didn't like the idea of the WSS because of the hassle it'd be getting into the city every Sunday and finding parking for games. Not to mention not being able to continue the tailgating tradition.

GG, it is very sickening to see our JETS sharing a stadium with a team that has despised us since we were born. I supported the WSS, PSLs or not! I would rather pay PSLs in Manhattan then in NJ. There would be so much more to do and it would be an event. In NJ, it is just another football game. When the newness wears off, that stadium will have a hard time generating an enthusiastic crowd. The copporate types will dominate because of the cost of tickets and they come late and leave early!!!! IMO this stadium is a joke! They should have fixed up SHEA for the JETS after the METS build their new stadium. Imagine completing the outfield wall with additional seats and doming SHEA with a retractable dome. The supports for such a dome are in place already!! That would have cost far less then the JERSEY fiasco and it would have been the JETS stadium, lock, stock and barrel! I am sure that the TAILGATING issue ruined the WSS for many. Now with the heavy PSLs that are coming in NJ, they will be tailgating in their living rooms!

There were going to be PSLs no matter what. If you did not think so, you were fooling yourself.

Double to Triple the PSLs? Just dumb... They would have been double or triple (double or triple the debt)

I always supported building the stadium in New York, PSLs or no PSLs.

New York hasn't had a football team (unless you count the Bills, who are really in Canada) in over 20 years.

you just do not know that! You cast allegations with no corroboration, Very much off-base. What is your expert opinion on PSL's in SHEA? That could have been the cheapest way for the JETS to have their OWN stadium or do you think that is dumb too?

I knew that there would be PSL's no matter where they built the stadium. The question has always been, "How Much?" The Corporations will have no problem with them (it's a tax write-off) but the average Joe's like us will suffer. Soon enough, we "average fans" will be priced out of the market and the only season ticket holders will be the corporations because, as I said, they can write the price off their taxes as an entertainment expense. That said, my rule for PSL's remains the same. If the PSL is higher than the price of a Large screen, High Definition Digital TV, a Digital Satellite system and the NFL package (ALL Games) for one year, I'm going to give up my season tickets and buy that instead. While I LOVE going to the games and have gone ever since they moved into the Meadowlands, economically, the TV, Satellite, etc makes more sense. I'll have my friends (who also had season tickets) come over and we'll have a BBQ in my yard and watch the game afterwards. Let Woody pad his wallet without my help.

PSL's like any economic vehicle are charged based on what the market will bear not the cost of a product. They will be charged and ticket prices will be set to fill the stadium with some excess demand regardless of where and how much. Any one who believes cost is what drives ticket prices doesn’t understand basic economics.

I was for the WSS at first but the reality of the outright waste of having two of these stadiums which will essentially be used for 10 games each a year plus 1 or 2 other events is just a sickening waste of space, pollution, energy, etc. There is something intrinsically disgusting about that kind of gluttony simply because we have an inferiority complex. Get over it.

So i also may sound dumb but i thought psl were just placing your name on a seat, but now i learned that you own the rights to that seat. Can non season ticket holders buy them or bid on them? Also is there an order into which one can bid or buy?

I do not believe that you were for the WSS when you say things like-----
I was for the WSS at first but the reality of the outright waste of having two of these stadiums which will essentially be used for 10 games each a year plus 1 or 2 other events is just a sickening waste of space, pollution, energy, etc. There is something intrinsically disgusting about that kind of gluttony simply because we have an inferiority complex. Get over it.[/ ----The city was told there would be a SUPER BOWL or two or more. The final 4 had eyes on NYC, the circus did too; several large trade shows were ready to come to NYC due to the WSS and you come up with empty rhetoric. Obviously you never read the economics of the WSS and what it would have meant for NYC. Hotels, restaurants, taxi cabs/ shops etc would be filled due to FOOTBALL and many as in MANY other events in the WSS. It is a done deal now but please spare us the statements you made. Good luck to NJ. I hope this deal works well for NJ, the JETS and screws the Giants. Just the mere fact that we could have had our own home and it was for so many selfish as well as heart-felt reasons and now we have lost it, is very aggravating! If the JETS built their own stadium in NJ, I and many others would be happy. If they took over SHEA and refurbished it completely, I would have been even happier when they named it JETS STADIUM! You and I both know that many fans will still call the new stadium- GIANTS STADIUM! I know that will not annoy you but please do not say that you were for the WSS once! How come you find no gluttony in a 1.7 billion dollar stadium surrounded by an entertainment complex owned by billionaires while NJ is still paying on the old stadium and now has to pay for new infrastructure? IMO that is GLUTTONY personified!

We should be able to vote. "No I wouldn't change my mind, I have always supported the WSS." That would be my vote!

The Jets not getting the WSS still peaves me. For all you long time Jets fans, I do not have to tell you all the low points. For me, Silver and Bruno pulling the plug on the WSS ranks right up there. The stadium would have been great for NYC, The Jets, the NFL and the fans!

    WSS= NO PSL's

Yet many of you went against the WSS because you were so obsessed with PSL's when the Jets organization SPECIFICALLY SAID NO PSL's .

    Now,
the Stadium is in Jersey AND there may be PSL's. You know what. Good for you. Call it spite but that's what you get for continually stirring the fukin pot.

-Was it so wrong to believe the Jets organization in the 1st place?
-Did you have to side with Dolan??
    or
-Are you just a miserable fuk who loves worse case scenerio because you love misery?

One of these applies to you if you were one of the people who kept going against the JETS stance on NO PSL's for the WSS.
