I don't think Grossman is a really bad QB in most categories like arm strength, accuracy, pocket presence, etc. However, he does have one glaring problem, which is that when he is under pressure he does the DUMBEST things imaginable. It's a big problem for the Bears and one that Grossman never made any noticable attempt (or successful attempt) to fix.

Well according to Mort the trade looks unlikely, apparently Angelo is ticked off that the Skins went public with all of this information, maybe in a attempt to force Chicago's hand. Looks like the reverse will be true. Typical really, Danny boy can't even shoot himself in the foot properly anymore.

I'd say they would have to entertain one of these 6: JaMarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, Alan Branch, Joe Thomas, Calvin Johnson, Amobi Okoye.

    How do we know that?

Again, it was his first year as an NFL starter. He was a first round pick who spent two years injured, and that city had a TON of hopes on him. Thats alot of pressure for a guy in his first year. Meanwhile, his team happens to be dominating the NFC and was not longer a "sleeper" team like it was 2 years ago. Alot of what goes wrong and right is blamed on the QB, and when you have the consistency Grossman did, it doesn't make things easy for him.

I don't think he'll be a great QB, but he should be a long term guy.

Redskins vice president of football operations, confirmed a report yesterday that LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russell will meet with the team's coaches and front office April 10.
    -- Washington Times

The Bears have Washington's first-round draft pick (No. 6 overall) on the table in a proposed deal for Lance Briggs and the Bears' first-round pick (No. 31 overall). According to a report, the Bears have told Redskins officials they will take through the weekend -- if not longer -- to respond.

redskins have to be the dumbest franchise in any sport
does Briggs equal the 16th pick?
6th and 31st =1600 pts which is equal to the 16th pick

It seems every yr someone trades a 1st rnder for a player and they get burned. and something tells me the redskins will get burned on this trade if it ever happened

I guess if the bears got the 6th they would try to trade down but I dont think we have enough ammo
