Is anyone else worried about Leinart's party animal rep and lack of work ethic? I wonder if the reason he wants so badly to come to NY is so he can hang out with his celebrity friends at Scores, Cain, Quo, etc...

    It def has me concerned...

what do you think the other 99.999999999994% of the NFL players do with their spare time? I'm not worried about this at all if he comes here.

 Let him let loose a bit, Derek Jeter did that for a bit and he still peromrs well all the time. I'd raise one to leinhart if he wants toget ass. Just show up and play hard on sundays:beer:

It's a different kind of partying/ circle of friends that we are talking about here - the guy roles w/ Paris Hilton and Nick Lachey... I'm not the first one bringing this up... It may not be a big deal, but I'm def concerned about it... True, a lot of athletes hang out, but not many with the hollywood in-crowd...

?? I'd think "rolling" with guys like T.O., Randy Moss would be a hell of alot worse. Common man who do you see in the headlines for breaking the law more? Celebs or NFL players. Sean Taylor set a record i believe.

Hey... at least we might get a new Paris porno outta this eh?

Lack of work ethic? That didn't show at Southern Cal.

When has Leinart's work ethic been questioned?

I thought he had more of a "work hard, play hard" rep. I saw a TV piece on him where they said he spent hours watching film of USC games and of peyton manning.

What I worry more about is the same story said that he puts an incredible amount of pressure on himself to the point where is often on the verge of breakdown. I wonder if the NYC media would detroy him if he got off to a shaky start. He is a proven winner though so maybe that fact that he's hard on himself is a positive thing.

what does it matter what people he hangs with if the activity of partying is the same? you're saying it wouldn't bother you if he did the exact same things but with other people? yeah, that's logical.

It's all about production on the field. If he comes here and parties it up fine. He better never look hung over on Sunday though. Going out and boozing it up is legal if done responsibly. He will easily be able to handle a limo on call. If he whoops it up and has fun with sime gals and then goes home by limo; cool.
I do not want to read about him DUI or DWI though. Other substances are not even worthy of mention; instant boooooooooooo!

I agree with you, as long as he plays hard every sunday, study the game like every other QB, I really don't mind what he's doing during the night, etc.

leinart is built to play in ny like derek jeter. he has shown he can play and work on the biggest stage at usc.

speaking as a falcons fan when i heard the chargers signed brees yesterday i thought matt leinart would be a perfect fit for the jets. i think the nfl would have hated to see him play for the saints out of the national spotlight.
