Graded out by whom? Champ, the great O-line coach? I must have missed the private free agent combine that was held in Austin, Texas.
You could take it to the bank that if another NFL would have offered him more then us just like Cato he would have been gone. If you think he was & is a quality player then that is OK by me & hope he shows his A game to us this fall
H'mm hope U are not thinking cause we made the POs last year that this year we are SB bound cause NOTHING from last year translates into the ultimate success this year. You do realize SD went 14-2 & won the AFCW & got ejected by the Pats who then got ejected by the Colts so making the POs is no difference in the ultimate end to going 1-15 since the PO team that got ejected is just the same another LOSER which we were in 06
I think the O-line as a unit played well and one of the key elements to line play is cohesiveness, so I'm happy to have our five guys back playing together. You don't need an All-Pro at every line position, and we already have two #1 picks in the five positions. You need the unit to play well together, so the stability to me is a good thing. For that reason he was likely more valuable to us than to most other teams.
This is where you show your complete lack of football knowledge. Any simpleton can look at it as you either win it all or you're a total bust. If you can't see what goes on in between by your age you'll probably never figure it out.
Only in your world, champ. If you don't know there's a difference between 1-15 and the second round of the playoffs, that's your loss. You might as well skip the whole season, just watch the Super Bowl and draw all your conclusions from that. You know, just like all the housewives, foreigners and everyone else who doesn't understand football.
Someday the lite will go on & U will realize that a loser is loser as I already pointed out. If U want to say there are degrees of winning then OK but in the ULTIMATE END just like the Bears if you lose the SB U R a loser just like a 14-2 team or 1-15 team. That also is a historical fact & is undeniable except for fans like U that attempt in every possible way to rationalize away the truth so U can think that cause we made the POs in 06 we will be SB champs in 07. All I can say to you just keep those dreams coming cause one day U will wake up just like others on this board & finally smell the real coffee. Oh yes 1 other thing just like U I have my HO of our players & in MHO both Baker & Clement are less then quality players. If U think otherwise that is fine but I am sorry then if I think differently then U on the ability of these 2 players. If U took the time & went back thru our esteemed history U would see that they fall into the same catagory as others over the years which why we have been LOSERs for 38 years now & counting
Ok, champ. We'll get you some Tostitos and set you up with a drink for next year's Super Bowl. Then you and everyone else who knows nothing about football can base all your opinions of every team on the result of one game.
Mr T. Please Draft Aaron Ross Please He is unbelievable ...check this out ... youtube.com/watch?v=9nVjwzOCxQU&NR
H'mm that is really funny what U posted since up to his resigning there have already been zillions of words posted that we MUST without a doubt improve the right side of our OL right here on this site & that meant upgrading Clement
See again you are atempting to amend historical facts which is the winner of the SB is the CHAMPION & all others are losers including our dear green/white
It was not me since it most obvious to me the RS of the OL needed a huge upgrade. Why not go back thru the posts since I am sure you find some of yours also agreeing to the upgrade
Sorry. Didn't mean to offend any foreigners or housewives by comparing their football knowledge to champ's.
you need to relax champ, to a extent i agree that second place is really just the first loser, but to say that the jets (10-6 playoff berth) and the lions (3-13 maybe 4-12) had the same season is ridiculous. and if they are both "losers" as you put it, ask the lions how 17 weeks of regular season football was for them, than ask a jet fan.
I'm foreign and a housewife and know nothing about football , so your right , but I'm still offended because ........I'm on.
The fact of the matter is that Clement, though a solid temporary plug, needs to be upgraded in the next year or two. He played well last year but a better and younger player is a definite possibility. I like the methodoical (though seemingly boring) approach that Mangini and Tannenbaum have brought here. We are not going to throw a lot of money around for the sake of throwing money around. There is a definite plan. Clement will plug a hole for another year or two and then be upgraded. The FO is keeping money in the pocket for the future. So, the fact is we very might well struggle this year with the harder schedule. But this is a long term approach that will result in years of success and not the ups and downs of years past.
