This guy was really solid with Baltimore a few years ago, and is still 28 years old. Would he be a good fit at the right price?

Definitely interested and that'd cap the offseason for me...

He'd be pretty cheap, $1.5 million tops. Give him a one-year contract, and if he gets hurt again, so be it, he'd be off the books after the season and then you move on from him...

Low-risk high reward type guy at a cheap price.

ehh...give 'em a shot for 1 mil a year, if he sux, he doesn't play. However, he could return to solid form if he gets healthy.

Eh, I'll pass. His injury history throws me off... Plus we're stacked at ILB.

I don't know about "stacked." Schlegel, who knows? Barton is supposedly being shopped around...

Hartwell is injury prone, sure...But his best years came in the 3-4 as an ILB, he's a big guy and at a low price, why not take a gamble on a 1 year contract to get a player in his prime who could do well?

If not, big deal, he'd be gone after the seaosn.

Why has everyone given up on Schlegal? He didn't do much in his rookie year. That doesn't mean he can't have a great career or sophmore season.

And what's wrong with Kassell? He seemed like a solid run defender and special teamer. No reason to bash him.

And if we draft an OLB with one of our top 3 picks, we could add Victor Hobson to that long list if ILBs.

Hartwell's wheel have fallen off. Atlanta has holes at the LB position, and there is a reason they let him go. His knees are shot, and he reminds me of another Cowart coming off an achilles injury. Let the Pats sign him.

With a 4-3 defense (which Edge was in with Atlanta and Cowart was coming to with the NYJ), I would agree with you. However, with as a 3-4 ILB I think his lack of speed from leg injuries is less of a factor.

    Pass

This guy is a nightmare. I live in Atlanta and he set this franchise back years w/ the amount of money they paid him and essentially zero production, and that's when he wasn't injured. I'll take someone that can run, and who's hungry. This guy is neither.
