    Wow. That's pretty awesome.

Sounds like he can bring some more discipline to the team.

That coach hiring has Eric Mangini written all over it. Lets see Bill Bellichick counter this move - probably with a Navy Seal commando.

It looks like it has Bob Sutton all over it. Don't know exactly when he played for Army, but Sutton was the coach from 90-99.

Kotwica played LB for Army, started if I remember right in the 95 and 96 college seasons, graduated 1997, two of Sutton's last good seasons at Army. Army went 10-2 Kotwica's senior season, losing only to the Donovan McNabb Syracuse team in the carrier dome and to the Damien Craig/ Takeo Spikes Auburn team in the Independence Bowl--by 3 points a a missed last-second FG. Kotwica wore #44, was a bit undersized at probably 5'11 and 225 lbs in reality but was super-productive and had all the great play-making intangibles. Nicknamed "#44 hard-core Bennie the hitman Kotwica". Think he was a defensive co-CPT for Sutton.

    Definitely a Sutton hiring.

How could it possibly be a Sutton hiring? You think the defensive coordinator can hire whoever he wants? The reality is that Sutton recommended the guy to his boss, Mangini, and Mangini decided yes this is a guy we could use...SO it DEFINITELY is a Mangini hire.
