ok , apparently we have NOT signed Bowens yet.
    so , i guess this might be one of our " back-up " plans ( ? ) ;

Darrion Scott / DE - i think he is a RFA ( 3rd rounder compensation to the vikings from any team that signs him ? ? ).
    unless , something else is " worked-out " with the vikings ? ?

word is ; the jets have " spoken to " the vikes re Darrion scott.

He's a decent player although whether he would fit in a 3-4 is an open question. It's also kind of strange that the Vikings did not tender him for a 1st round pick. He's gonna draw offers and the Vikings might not like the match they have to make to keep him. If they'd tendered him for the 1st they'd have the option of letting him go and grabbing the pick.

I gotta say I'm not enamored of Minnesota's FO right now, although the Culpepper and Moss deals obviously favored them.

In terms of money, then they did a good job on the Moss trade...But Napolean Harris is gone and Troy Williamson hasn't done anything since being taken 7th overall.

It was good unloading Culpepper, I don't remember who they selected though with that pick...

But from a money standpoint, and getting rid of Moss' attitude, then sure, they did a good job.

Hey-- good info as usual. The guys looks pretty good from the stats, and his size would work for an end. I'd take him for a 3rd-- 5.5 sacks as a part time starter in his third year-- sounds very promising.

Ooh ooh-- McCareins, or Barton for him maybe??? They could certainly use either guy. I like it.

This guy is a 3-4 DE right?

Anyway, I'd trade McCareins for Scott staright up.

I highly doubt we hear anything else about him though.

6'3 289, not overly big for 34 DE but he's definitely not a small dude. If he has good strength he could be part of the rotation at DE, looks like he brings a good passrush with 5.5 sacks last season and 4 the year before in reserve role. I'd trade McCareins for this guy no doubt...

Well, he started 13 games on the DL of one of the best run defenses in NFL history. I know a lot of that was due to the Williams duo (Pat and Kevin), but he must be doing something right against the run. Granted, it's a lot different in the 3-4. It might be worth a shot.

Kelly must have a source in Minnesota... I think she predicted the Mosley/Bollinger trade during training camp.

Why do you refer to her as "it"?

We better get a pretty good pick! Like we give up a 7th, they give up a 3rd.

Because as the true identity has never been confirmed, it pretends to be a female in denmark, none of which we believe.

Until there is confirmation, Kelly is referred to as "it."
