I am relatively new here and post that much. I didn't really care too much about forums in the past but I was excited to join a forum with a bunch of quality Jets fans. While this forum is mostly full of educated fans, I am getting sick and tired of these people complaining all the damn time of what the Jets haven't done yet. Give them a freakin chance!!! Free Agency is a month long process and it is only day four. Yes, other teams are signing big name players but they not only have cap room but are probably making a push for the SuperBowl, other than Arizona ofcourse. We did the same thing last year after we made it far in the playoffs..we brought in Law, Jolley, a new O coordinator, etc. No one could've predicted we would have all the injuries we did. It happened and now we find ourselves in rebuilding mode but I dont necessarily think its going to be as bad as many of you think.

We have a new coach that the players are excited to play for. He is bringing in a new system and has to be more gutsy that Herm. I actually liked Herm but I felt he made some serious errors this season. He protected his job instead of trying to win games. Our defense is going to be even more solid this year..Vilma is entering the prime of his career, Barton is back from injury, Ellis is going to be in shape, Rhodes and Coleman have a full year of playing together, Barrett will be better in a bump and run than that lazy ass cover we played. We signed Kimo and I expect we will make some other key moves in the 2 months to come.

Our offense isnt that bad...We will probably have a new QB (hopefully leinart or young), martin is more motivated than ever and we could even draft Addai out of LSU in the 2nd roudn. Our receivers would be good except that we didnt get them the ball because we ran 1st and 2nd down because we didnt have a QB. Our offensive line is shaky right now but it will be patched up.

The fact is..we havent done a lot in free agency so far..but its so early to be passing judgement. Bradway is out and I expect things to turn around. We made the playoffs under Herm several times when no one thought we woudl be good, so lets just sit back and wait to see what happens instead of coming on this forum and bitching about our pickups.

I for one, am excited about the Kimo pickup, and am excited about the month to come. Is anyone with me???

I can just picture it. Our unpatient friends have two IE browsers open. One to post annoying comments how the sky is falling because we didn't blank and the other to refresh on ESPN's homepage. Everytime they refresh they get more frustrated by the lack of activity.

People if you enjoy making splashes root for the Knicks. If you enjoy throwing dollars at FA's root for the Skins(hell they have enough ex-Jets - you might feel at home). If you want to enjoy watching a solid franchise be built from the ground up, stick around, it should be exciting to watch.

Yes, I am sick of the complaining.... but I have a sneaking suspicion I may soon be complaining about the complaints about complaining.

Yeah, read the main page and what it says about Von Oelhoffen. Only a select few who run the site have access to that spot on the site and look what they have to say. It makes it tough to take the site seriously.

I'm sick of all the threads about the same thing. That's what I'm sick of.

It's nearly impossible NOT to get tired of it. I don't mind people that disagree with a move that is being made, but most of it is either by new posters or people who totally butcher the English language, making their comments nearly unreadable.

I am growing tired of the complaining. Also, the quality of thread topics has fallen a bit. We have become laden with some redundancy. There seems to be a few more raging lunatics comming out of the woodwork.

On the plus side, there is alot going on. I have to go to sleep now.

    See ya tomorrow guys.

I would love to answer "Yes, I really am quite sick of the complaining", however that itself would be a complaint and doing so would make me a hypocrite. Anyway, you're damn straight, I am completely sick of all the "the sky is falling posts" I dont understand how these people are Jets fans, the Jets have not ever opperated in the manner of which they speak, nor do the teams they want the Jets to become. Maybe a bunch of Skins fans converted?

It's standard operating procedure around here. The thing is that there aren't a lot of fans who truly understand how to work free gency. They see the 'skins sign all these players, and then think the Jets are doing nothing. You get used to it after a while.

The problem is all these complainers see how much success the Knicks have had of late. The Knicks go out and sign all sorts of big name superb players and they're in first place.

Get used to it, this board is very negative. We had people whining and complaining when we were in the div rd of the playoffs so it's natural to expect they will complain at every turn. Some people just don't understand the redskins approach to FA does not work, just think back to 2001 when everyone was laughung at NE for their cheap FA pick ups and those guys helped them win SBs. It's not about throwing as much money as you can at names, it's about spending wisely for guys who fit what you are trying to do.

Just a reminder, the Jets only SB came when our owner Sonny Werblin out bid the NFL for Joe Namaths services. Since we stopped operating like that we have won exactly zero SB.

I'm not saying what stradegy we should employ just pointing out a little historical fact.

Another Jet fact we won a SB with Namath and went to AFC finals with Todd and Vinny. The idea that wimp armed game manager QB is taking the Jets to a SB is not the Jet way.

Another historical fact. The Redskins stole Verlon Biggs from us and won SB with him. They stole John Riggins from us and won a SB. When you put down the Redskins who went to the playoffs in year two of Gibbs regime, understand that the Redskins are following their historic formula for winning.

When you talk about the Jets way of building a team, at least know what the Jet way is.

The redskins never won a SB w/ Verlon Biggs.

I'm a Falcon's fan...so the complaining has reached a dull roar the past year. Don't take Schaub by the way, he is ours and you can't have him...you should pick Cutler, as he will be the real deal. Just my two cents.

You're right they got to the SB with him and lost to the only perfect team in NFL history, the 72 Dolphins who also became a great team with extremely bold moves beyond the draft. Miami went out and acquired both the key pieces to their O and D in blockbuster trades for Warfield and Buoniconti who were the leaders and best players on perhaps the best NFL team ever.

Would you rather give up the 15th pick overall for Abraham? Or would you just rather forget about getting Abe altogether? His services (from what I understand) will cost the Falcons either Schaub (and a 1st day pick) or the 15th overall.

You do realize things have changed since the 70s, right? What "bold" moves did NE make to become a dynasty?
