Panic yesterday - and then the Jets pull a big trade - a great trade - for Thomas Jones. Not only that, but the Jets didn't lose anything but position in the second round for Jones, sending #37 to Chicago for Jones and #63! The Jets still have two second round picks and now Jones!

I also read about the Jets bringing in two DE's and some FB material? Also the rumor about trading up in round #1 for an impact player - can you say Calvin Johnson?

    This just in...

The sky has just returned to its original position above the ground and under the stars. Crisis averted-ship on course.

There is no way we could trade for CJ now.

Why can't we? The Jets have a #1 and two #2's and plenty of other parts to trade. I read the Redskins are hot to trade for Vilma...that could be part of a package...

Johnson is the playmaker we need to put us into real contention...

Oh, and if we sign Bowens (combo DE/LB Pass Rusher) and Coleman (legite DE in the 3-4) today, is the sky still falling? Are the Jets still falling behind the Pats?

The same thing happens every year, we are slow out of the gate in FA then we make solid decisions and have good FA periods. When will fans learn the top teams don't go out and overpay for high priced, big name FAs.

I understood the first day disappointment, we all wanted A. Thomas, not only did he not sign with us he signed with the team we are trying to catch.. Some people took that disappointment too far but that is just the nature of a Jets fan.
