just saw it on ESPN's NFL Live.

let the debate begin...Good fit on the Jets? Better than Adalius?

he is going to command a big payday, but I think he's a viable option

that's what the Jets needed, an on field general leader, Joey is it, he would be a great pickup.

Same age as A.Thomas with a lot more miles (A.Thomas was a special-teamer his first few years in the league), so it is doubtful the Jets would sign him.

Despite his talent (even if he is starting to slow down) I would not enjoy him being on the Jets. His antics and mouth are just annoying. He isn't even one of the players (like Reggie Miller) that you hate him when he isn't on your team, but would love him if he is.

Porter is a dick... But he's a hell of a player, and the perfect 3-4 OLB.... If we wanted to give our D more of a swagger, along with a boosted pass-rush, Porter would be a great choice...

That being said, if Porter is signed VILMA has to stay around, to continue being the leader of this defense and to make sure they D's personalities stay in check...

If you dont want a guy like porter on your team something is wrong, he talks smack yah, but he can def back it up, hes not lazy, hes a good teammate, he scares opposing teams.

    Dolphins interested in Porter
    Friday, Mar 2, 2007 10:09 am EST

The player who ruined the Miami Dolphins' 2006 season-opener is drawing consideration from the club as a free agent.

Agent Jeffrey Sperbeck said early Friday morning that the Dolphins have expressed interest in signing former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Joey Porter, who was released Thursday on the eve of the NFL's free-agent signing period.
