Jets | Team trying to trade Ramsey Tue, 27 Feb 2007 20:05:06 -0800 Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports the New York Jets are trying to trade QB Patrick Ramsey before his $1.4 million roster bonus is due Saturday, March 3. The team will release him if they are unable to trade him, clearing $2.1 million in cap space. allmost another 3 million in space for 2 gys we dont need not to bad i hope they resign clement then get his replacemnt in the draft
heres the link: http://blogs.nydailynews.com/jets/archives/2007/02/source_ramsey_gone_by_weekend.php i agree. hopefully we can resign clement
Good news all around. Clement is a serviceable back-up and should be resigned for the right price. Kimo and Ramsey should hit the road.
Seriously, I know there are some dumb assed organizations out there (Lions, Raiders, etc.) but who would actually give something up for Ramsey?
ravens, browns, raiders, texans, buccs, vikings..i dont think they would offer much but we could get a low draft pick for ramsey
I don't see the Jets trading Ramsey before the weekend. Everyone knows he'll be cut and can just make a run to sign him after.
Too bad Von O sucked so badly in his 1st year. He was a huge problem...unlike Clements though. I think Clements earned a decent paycheck for coming in and being serviceable last season...I hope we don't lose him.
Keep Clement as an insurance policy and B/U. Let von O go and Good God, get whatever the hell we can for Ramsey, even if it's a decent ballboy.
So? If 8 teams are interested in him wouldnt it make more sense for 1 team to step up and give up a late round pick instead of overpaying him as a FA, just to fight off a handful of other teams?
If the Kimo/Ramsey reports are correct then for sure both of them go down on the Man/Tan negative side of the ledger
