Anyone have any interest in the Chief's Jared Allen? I believe he's 6'5 and about 270, which seems more than adequate for a 3-4 DE. He's been pretty good at rushing the passer throughout his early career, getting what I believe was 7.5 sacks last year. Word right now is that the Chiefs are trying to lock him up.... But if he isn't locked up by Friday, do we take a shot at him? I think Allen and Adalius Thomas would put this D at a whole new level...
I think he's Asking for a trade beceause thay want him to sign for peanuts. He only earned 450,000 for last year or he's slated to earn that this year.
He would be a great short term acquisition but, right now, it looks like his options are to take the crappy offer the Chiefs give him or hold out.
i know people use this term alot but he has been in some trouble in the past and he is not a "Mangini Guy"
Give me a break. It's up to management to determine which players will fit in. As a fan, I just want the best talent.
It's possible, but you never know how things could change, especially under a little bit of a stronger fist like Mangini, as opposed to his former coaches, Vermeil and Herm. I, personally, think he would be a great fit, if we were able to get our paws on him...
According to you because he got in trouble he is not a Mangini guy. That would mean that Coles is not a Mangini guy b/c he got kicked off FSU.
Oh, Jesus...I can't take this "not a Mangini guy" shit anymore. It's like the guys building the fuckin All-Saints teams here. Every friggin thing possible is enough to not be considered a "Mangini guy" by FANS who don't even KNOW MANGINI. I seriously doubt Mangini is as anal about this crap as most fans seem to think he is. If I was a coach I'd want a bunch of "character" guys my first year too, guys who will give me a chance to run my system. To think Mangini is unwilling/unable to take these kinds of "risks" as he gets more experience/respect as a head coach seems a little ridiculous. But I know....OMG BUT LOOK AT THE BUNGLES LOL!! Yes, one team went overboard and couldn't control their guys, therefore no one can or will ever. Great argument. Plus, Jared is a high motor white guy. Thats got Mangini written all over it.
I tend to agree with what you are saying in most cases but this is not one of them. This is purely my opinion but I just don't think Mangini would deal with someone who has had not one but two DUI arrests. I do agree that the "Mangini guy" term is thrown around far to easily though.
Two DUI terms? Damn, straight to hell is where this guy should go. Trade to another NFL team after those terrible crimes against humanity? Please. You never knew anybody who got caught driving drunk? Were they a bad person before it? After it? How does this PROVE beyond a shadow of a doubt that this guy is a terrible team player and certainly not a "Mangini guy?"
well if you read my post more closely you would have noticed that I said this is purely my opinion. But I guess you'd rather just be a jerkoff..
