i wouldnt see him getting a new contract from anyone who traded for him...
4 mil per year for 2 years is a perfect contract for someone with his age and attitude being acquired in a trade
so the beginning part of the article doesnt make sense
unless he just bitches his way out...i dont see it either

As surreal as seeing Strahan in a fucking Redskins jersey would be, I'm...I think I'm in favor of it. *shudders*

He's old and getting hurt more and more often, we have 3 good young DEs in Osi, Kiwi, and Tuck. Screw the 'Skins out of whatever picks they could possibly give up and rebuild. Going 8-8 and falling ass backwards into the NFC Playoffs doesn't mean you're close to being a winner, and I think Reese has had the right mindset so far. Build the offense around Manning/Shockey/Snee and the D around Pierce/Osi/Kiwi by getting good young players who can fit their roles. You'd be surprised how quickly a team can rebuild in this league, if the executives know what they're doing.

I could see it. The Redskins love to overpay for "name" guys and the Giants probably realize that Strahan just isn't worth the money anymore.

Why would he want to play for the Skins' of all teams? For the $ he thinks he would get, and probably would get.

Giants fans... What's so bad about this? Strahan is old, overpaid, and a locker-room distraction who doesn't support the coaching staff. You have Umenyiora (sp?), Kiwanuka, and Tuck at DE. That position is loaded for you guys even without Strahan. Getting rid of him would probably be a good move actually.

An eminently reasonable attitude. Does anyone think that the Giants are close to SB contention? I certainly don't. Strahan is very capable of screwing up that locker room if he wants to, and he's not good enough, young enough, or healthy enough to be worth it. The only issue I can see is that the Skins probably don't have enough to make it worth their while.

I doubt it happens. It would be great for the Giants since they do have a nice young defensive line and really don't need him anymore. What the hell picks do the Redskins have anyway? Just a 1st and a couple picks after round 4.

Man does Dan Snyder suck big time.
