With Drew B. now signed in NO, what will happen to the Jet's options at #4? Couldn't N.O. just trade down now, with Oakland for example, who lost out on Culpepper, and one of Lienart/Young/Cutler will be gone? Then Tennessee will take the next best QB, leaving us with only one option. If that one option is Young, then we're not going QB, IMO....What's gonna happen now?
As much as it would kill me to see this happen...I think the Jets will do all they can to trade up for Leinart. The kid was born to play in New York (or New Jersey..whatever). He can handle the scrutiny and attention and he would be the perfect answer for Tom Brady. Isn't Tenesee picking ahead of NY? Isn't Norm Chow (or however you spell his name) his old coordinator from USC?
Depends on if the FO picks up a vet QB. Ramsey, McNown, Schaub(sp?) are all still out there. If they do pick one up, do not expect them to draft a QB. Most likely they will trade down for more picks, or stay put and take another position. It all depends on what the FO does in the nect few days I think.
I could see Tennesee going with Young as he is a prototypical type in the mold of Steve McNair. I hope they do not set their target on Leinart for N.Chow's sake cuz they have "chemistry" . Matt will be good in the NFL and it would suck to battle Ten. facing that tandem.
The jets should and could move up to get Lienhart but it all depends on what happen with abe and what we get for him
Im hoping that this paves the way for the jets to move up and grab leinart. Best possible senario IMO
Jets give: #4 overall, First rounder from Abe trade, and second rounder this year... Saints Give :#2 overall... Matt Leinart makes too much sense not that Brees signed with the Saints.
Heh, it's funny how you spell correctly the name you say you're going to misspell and misspell McCown.
Although I am not sold on either you think Lienart = (Cutler or Young) + 2nd this year + 1st from Abe this year?
