Mon, 13 Mar 2006 21:58:52 -0800 Todd Archer, of the Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys WR Keyshawn Johnson's future with the team will be decided Tuesday, March 14. If Johnson is on the Cowboys' roster at 3 p.m., he will receive a $1 million bonus. The Cowboys must decide whether to give him the money or release him. Johnson, scheduled to earn a base salary of $1.5 million this season, would like a one-year extension and a raise that pays him between $2 million and $3 million. The Cowboys could pay him the bonus and release him later, but that's unlikely.

Jets need a little hype and ferver in their locker room since Hermy is gone. But with all the hopefully young players we bring in, I don't know if Meshawn is the greatest person to be around.
Yes........topic. Well, I haven't really followed Keyshawn much since he left. Only to say that I do not think he was nearly as productive after leaving the Jets. In Tampa, he was stuck with nobody who could throw him the damn ball. Almost a fitting punishment for what he wrote while here. Now, he has been re-united with Parcells, which I think, was the only coach he truly respected. Would he be good for us now? I do not think so. Yes he likes to catch over the middle, but he is not a speedster. Probably a much slower version of a Coles. I think we would waste money with Keshawn. He had his day here and now his better years are behind him.
I still have very fresh in my memory a game last year.... Meshawn is yapping at Parcells. Parcells syas (yes, it was easy to read his lips) "Shutup, shutup, shutup, shutup, shutup, shutup, SHUTUP!" It was rich. I loved it. He's a loud mouthed trud. Reminds me of a newbie poster here....

I could see him coming back here. Good way to finish where he started. Though if you don't play well fast, you know who'll be bitchin to the papers and on the sideline.
