This needs its own thread. Who just saw Anquan Boldin toast Justin Miller, Justin then recovers to make the tackle, but Boldin absolutely schools him to score the game tying td. It was embarrasing. Please discuss.
It is just funny how we debate about can he be a starting corner for us. And then gets burnt at the mosrt critical point in the game. The embarassing part was after Boldin caught it, he was face to face with Miller at the 10. One move and Miller was shook out of his jock. he could have at least made the tackle.
What I don't get is Hester/Miller were selected to return kicks. I know rosters are limited, but I'd rather they take another CB per team and play those guys where they were selected.
Rashean Mathis suffered an injury on Friday and they couldn't get the alternate Nnamdi Asomugha to Hawaii in time.
who cares. he's obviously not ready to be a premier DB, which means he shouldn't be playing CB at the Pro Bowl. but on the bright side, can you get much better practice than learning stuff from Belichick while going up against the best WR's in the NFL? i still think think a full Offseason under the cruel tutelage of Mangini will turn Miller into a starter next year. cheers
There's a reason Justin Miller was selected as a KR rather than DB......... How did he do returning? Especially punt returning b/c that would be huge if he can learn to punt return........
He averaged 28.4 yards per return; higher than Hester's performance and a yard higher than his regular season average, which by the way was the 4th highest in league history. Get off his back.
No one's denying that he's a great kick returner, but he's an awful AWFUL cover corner, which would be fine, except that the Jets also play him at corner. That Boldin TD wasn't the first 20yd+ play he was beat 1 on 1 for either.
I would not conisder him to be AWEFUL. He is not Sammy Davis bad, but when Hank Poteat is giving you a run for your money, you probably are not good either. :/ EDIT: I still have high hopes for, Miller.
