I haven't even seen any highlights really. Terrible Jets fan, I know. I was out all night with my friends, but my dad used his new DVD Recorder that he got for Christmas to record the game. I just popped in the disc into my computer and it works . He is actually making a copy of it now with his DVD Burner. I plan on watching it tomorrow in the afternoon for the 1st time ever before I head to my cousins house for SB41
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Joe and the Magic Bean! That's the one! That one was the best ever. Who was the voice over guy? He's done tons of those game highlight things for NFL films. Classic voice....
I think the voice is the same guy that did Winnie the Pooh. NFL network ran it about a month ago and I've looked everywhere to find in on the internet. I did find something that mentions it won an Emmy. I love how they refer to Unitas as "the old wizard"
It has to be ten years since I saw it. I'd pay to have it on DVD. I wonder if NFL films would sell it... ah. something to do while I wait for the start time of the Supe party I'm going to hit later on. :drunk:
I found it! NFL films has it for...are you ready? 50 bucks! hmy: It's on a DVD with other short films.
Lucky my birthday is coming up this month  I just said something to hubby and he said "well order it" Ok, I'll listen to the boss. (This time) Once I get it, I'll have to get with some of the computer wizards that can burn you a copy?
Well happy B day! get me a copy, and I'll mow yer lawn or weed the garden! or give you some homegrowns..... tomatoes that is!
I sure will. I have a buddy that can make a copy. I'll pm you when it's ready. I think the DVD takes 4-6 weeks to get here.
You do not have to buy it from NFL films like that.............. Just buy the new Joe Namath book that came out in November: Joe Namath (Icons of the NFL) It comes with a DVD and the "Joe and the Magic Bean" is one of a few different specials about Joe and the Jets on the DVD included with the book! The book goes for $29 and has a lot of pictures from Namath's personal collection...pictures that I have never seen before. The book is now like $19 on amazon.com Good Luck!!!
The guy doing the voice is Sterling Holloway, the voice of Winnie the Pooh, yes, and also Kaa the Snake from Jungle Book and the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. He was a regular VO guy for Disney.
OMG! Thank you! I'm glad I waited until today to order that from NFL films! Amazon price 19.97, spend 25 bucks and get free shipping. I wanted that book anyway so it's all good now.
Any change to burn be a dvd copy? If any of you who were able to burn a dvd of Super Bowl III would be willing to burn me a copy it would be greatly appreciated. I tried to do it but my DVD recorder malfunctioned halfway through and corrupted the DVD. I would pay shipping or whatever the costs are or would also swap another DVD that I have. I have some other super bowls on DVD. Send me a PM if you would. Thanks in advance. In any case, I watched it and enjoyed it, it was a great game. I was not born when it was played so I never have seen it before.
You can burn it yourself, there is a torrent up here: http://www.demonoid.com/files/details/940231/?rel=1170979551
