Ask Edgerrin James if you need a decent o-line. Seriously, very few guys average 4 or 5 yards a carry IN THE RED ZONE. We need mashers on the o-line plain and simple. Brick needs to develop, Mangold needs to develop and we need a new right tackle.
where did brandon jacobs come from i never heard of him before he was on the giants. he was a great addition for them a player like that being of his size and speed would have been a great fit exactly what we needed.
Jacobs is an absolute monster (6'4" 264). I just wonder what he did that he was only drafted in the 4th round?
in that draft we selected kerry rhodes in the forth plus it was about 15 slots behind the giants we would of have to get him in the third in replace of sione pouha.
Washington should be our starter and Houston should be our short yardage back. Get rid of the rest of the rubbage, possibly including Askew. We need 2 maulers at RG and RT, and we need a legit blocking fullback. There was never any daylight to run to for our guys in 2006. If we draft a RB it should be on day 2. Get a high upside guy that could possibly be a change of pace back.
Not my problem if you don't realize that the running game starts with the OL. And we were a second place team with ZERO run blocking this year. Jones, Benson, Addai, Rhodes... 4 names that would have done nothing behind our OL in 2006, yet somehow made it to the superbowl. Tomlinson, ALexander, Deuce, LJ... 4 elite RB's that didn't.
