We don't need anymore recievers...except for maybe some role players and good special teamers. McCareins is gone...Brad Smith will move into the slot. Bringing in Randy Moss may curb Cotchery's progress that he has made.

Moss's nonsense is starting already this offseason.
I really dont know what coach would want to have him on the team.
The only one I can think of right now is Marvin Lewis.

Randy Moss is believed to have told Lane Kiffin that he wasn't interested in talking to his new coach when Kiffin tried to contact him this week.

The story, claiming Moss used "profane and pointed terms" in a brief phone conversation, was whispered about at the Senior Bowl and discussed on two ESPN Radio shows, but never reported. If true, this could be Moss' first step in forcing his way out of Oakland.

Very few QBs throw the ball 50 yards down field in the air.

I saw kids at the Punt Pass and Kick finals during the Steelers/Saints game that could throw it that far. So don't tell me an NFL QB shouldn't be able to do that.

As for Randy Moss..he's a lazy clubhouse cancer. 90% of the receivers in this league have more heart and determination to be a difference for their teams than Randy is.

You guys could do so much better...

How many times a game do you think a QB throws it 50 yards in the air? Once? 3 times tops?

Madden FB is skewing peoples game perceptions.

I remember Madden 96 for the Sega Genesis. Some NFLPA player named J. Golden (WR) you could trade for that could score a TD on the Hail Mary almost 90% of the time. I made Mike Tomczak look like a Hall Of Famer that year (I'd cut Neil O'Donnell out of spite :) )

I agree that McCareins is dead weight and should be gone, Cotchery has developed into a solid receiver, but Brad Smith as a #3? Wouldn't you rather have a proven receiver like Moss, if available for cheap, alongside Coles with Cotchery as a 3rd down slot go-to guy?

Here's the one thing you can count on .Chad will be the starter next year, there simply no one on this roster (Yet) That can challenge him! My disapproval with a guy like Randy Moss is he will come with flowers and mints and then he'll puke in your helmet. We would be better served with a Guy like Joe jeravisous. (I should be his agent, IV been pumping his name for a week now) I feel a tall receiver needs to added to round out the receiving core

I also watched that Tribute to the Jets season 2006. IV got to revise some of my statements about Chad’s ability to make some key throws. He was launching the ball all over the place and in retrospect looking at some of his side line rainbow bright picks when not tipped there was defiantly a receiver Quarter back miscommunication.

Everyone here is so short sighted... makes you chuckle. This might very well be the one place that R Moss would be able to succeed. He has something in NY that he doesn't have anywhere else in the league. Respect for a QB. Chads work ethic alone would keep him on the straight and narrow.

My next question is... Since when is our recieving corps good, fully stocked, whatever you'd like to call it. A little info... It's mediocre at best.

Since when is Tim Dwight a decent reciever... he's a return man. Brad Smith is still learning the position. McCariens is waste of a roster spot... that leaves you with Coles and Cothery. 2 good recievers. What do you do if one goes down? Thats right, most here would do exactly this... run around in circles yelling the sky is falling, the sky is falling... in short Panic... then throw Blame all over the place. From Penningtons arm, to the play calling, to the lack of depth. I know, most of you are looking at the screen saying lack of depth, what is he talking about. Brad Smith is the next Hinds Ward... Are you so sure about that? You willing to risk a season on it? I know I'm not, and it took Hinds Ward a long time to become totally assimilated to the pro game. Put it this way... If I have the chance to bring a reciever like Randy Moss onto THIS team, I would do it. Cothery would simply become the 3 reciever, McCariens would be gone, and Tim Dwight would do what he was brought here to do.. return kicks, not run paterns.

Just a few thoughts for the day... tear it apart, and have a good day.

IF Raiders trade R Moss it will be to an NFC team. They aren't trading him to an AFC Team. I think Moss most likely destination could be Packers. Rumors are Brett Favre wants R Moss on his team.

Thats just stupid for Moss.. play with Favre for what, one season, if he comes back. No, I just don't think so... Even though that's where you'd like him to go because of the better pick you get from them...

Not smart for either team though... deal makes no sense.

if the Raiders are going to trade him, it is going to be to the team that gives them the best offer that helps them most in improving their team. if you had said not within their division you may have an argument, but there is no logical reason not to trade within the conference with the way NFL rotates the schedules. it isn't like baseball where you trade them out of your league to never have to face him or basketball where it reduces the amount you have to face the player to only twice a year. the AFC rationalization is just that, fan rationalization and has no basis in reality with the way teams schedules are rotated. the Raiders wouldn't have to play him anymore in the AFC, outside of their division, significantgly at least, than the NFC so it doesn't make sense for them to pass up on a potentially better deal just so he isn't in the conference.

Listen first off i just said it was rumors. Second Randy Moss has two years on his contract before he becomes a freeagent. So its not like he has to stay there forever. also Greenbay has a very young team, Moss gets to go back to divison he had the most sucess in and maybe this move assures brett favre coming back. It dosen't take much to go from worst to first in Nfc . Any team in Nfc with right changes have a good chance to maybe getting to a superbo.wl.

Raiders would probably send their second rounder and R moss for Packers number 1. (16?) Puts them in position to get Jamarcus russell and Maybe a Marshawn Lynch.

Chad can't catch Moss in a race with his legs or the ball.

You guys are forgetting that Penny and Moss made the perfect tandem in 1997, where they were both part of an explosive Marshall offense. Moss caught 25 of Chad's passes that year. It's been 10 years, but there's no reason to believe they can't rekindle that magic.
