Agreed. I see him as more likely to remain associated with the team, but more in a Public Relations capacity, speaking to youth groups--especially inner city, at-risk type teens--than in a coaching role.
he should have done this BEFORE the 06 season....that way we would have saved on the cap and had a little more wiggle room. while ill always remember martin as a great back, and a class act, there was no reason for him to act like comming back this season was ever a possibility. he got paid this year for nothing, knowing that was all he would bring to the table. and lets not say anything about "he mentored leon" because im sure from the type of scratch he was getting that playing papa to LW was the very least he could do.
Well you would be in the minority with that opinion. If there was even a remote chance he could have played last year I can easily endorse his trying. Even Martin at less than 100% would do more than the ppl we had in the backfield last year.
amazing picture of an amazing player...the thing i remember most about that game was the bomb to santana moss in the endzone that was about 10 yards too long and moss just kept running...not too many snow games like that
i hope you are right about neon leon being the next westbrook...i'd settle for him being the next kevin faulk even...
I thought that it was interesting that Martin said about Parcells that he was "one of the best coaches" he's ever had. Considering all of the positive comments he has had about coach Mangini, is this his way of saying he thinks our new coach is in the same league as Parcells?
Wow, way to show respect to a guy who's given his heart and soul to this team for years. The least you and the team owes to him is the opportunity to try to come back from his injuries. I can't believe you would write that.
:martin: I agree with Jetzz, if there was even a remote chance for him to return, I would pay to have him around. You would be hard pressed to find a classier, more honest man than Curtis. Thanks Curtis! You will be missed!
