Some crazy storms here in NE FL Sun-Mon.... lighting that looked like roman candle flames, with side sparks and everything. Some of the craziest lightning I've seen in over 35 years in FL..

I was outside hustling parking for an amphitheater event.... almost filled our lot when sparks started flying, then said f-this and ran inside as it was raining sideways..... then they canceled the "rain or shine" show as I was driving home. lol

This morning it's back down to 40 degrees and windows of the house are covered in condensation. March is always crazy

The center’s staff includes about 830 employees working under the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research, a nonprofit consortium of colleges and universities that oversees the center for the federal government.

The center also operates a massive supercomputer, known as Derecho, in Cheyenne, Wyo., that scientists use to predict the behavior of wildfires, space weather, hurricanes and other complex weather patterns.

It looks like UC Boulder and a few other universities are going to try and take over the NCAR lab. But I am not sure why everyone is alarmed, if trump gets rid of all the labs and scientists it will be like climate change does not exist which will eliminate hurricanes and global warming will no longer be a problem.
