Brook what did the airline tell u and which one because someone else was asking me as you were for a couple of days what to do and I told him to try and fly out saturday because I had a feeling this might happen to both of you,,,,,,,is the airport closed and which one or did they just cancel your flight,,,,,,ps I saw this storm coming,,sometimes I get em right sometimes I dont but I nailed this one days in advance,,,,,,Cman I am curious did you get 5 or 15 ?
I had a feeling as many places to the West got beat ,,,,,,I also know guys that live up by Middletown like a30 minutes north of me who got a foot but if you went 10 miles either direction from him they also got 4 or 5 inches,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Long Island was hit hard and South jersey is a mess close to 30 inches in some spots and no power as my buddy is in Brick with no power and a shitload of snow
My son got 20" and he's in So. Jersey too. Hopefully that was the last NE storm for this winter. I'm ready to go fishin!
Airline cancelled the flight uncle C. I booked another trip for March and moved my ticket to March reservation. You did a great job calling it. I wish I listened to you. Now I have to drive. I could have flown on Saturday if I knew. Lesson learned.
Two feet of snow for me on Long Island. After several great (practically) snowless winters, this one has sucked bigtime.
Thanks Brook,,,,,,,,ps I did that drive twice in the past month and I am doing it again next week,,,,,,,,I don't take 95 like you do because I head inland and I got 78 to 81 thru PA and W Virginia it's a much more scenic drive but not doable in bad weather,,,,,safe travels
Small system on Thursday might give us 1-3 ,,,,,,then again it might not then keep an eye on next Tuesday,,,,,,for now that is all
Don't kill the messenger but this winter still appears far from over as we might wake up to 1-3 Thursday and next Tuesday pick your poison = snow or rain that will flood many areas if it rains on top of this snow and ice that we already have ? Right now totally subject to change the models are showing snow
The only model NOT backing down for tomorrow is the GFS which was the model locked on to the last storm when the others did not have it,,,,,,it's by itself none of the other models show snow for tomorrow ,,,,,,,,,keep in mind that very few models showed any snow heading into this morning and look at how that played out--------this said Monday has the models bouncing back n forth so its too soon to tell if it's to our south or if it's a hit but gun top my head right now ( smile kids ) IMO it's a miss to our south = monday is subject to change because there is still time,,,,,,,,,,here is some more good news = and you will smile Brook and sea dwellers = after Mondays threat the long range models are hinting at a warm up !!!! That remains to be seen if it will actually happen,,,,,,if the models show a change for tomorrow I will try and chime in later
