If it means a Super Bowl I’ll take it.

You have a world beater at QB; how far has that gotten the Bills? Darnold did his part the whole season. There were games that defense didn’t “show up” and the offense lit it up. Darnold is average is bullshit. Of course some have to tear him down to make themselves feel better.

How many QBs would you take over him? Because I’d take at least 15, maybe more. There’s 32 teams. That’s the definition of average.

This is an important opinion from someone whose team has never won a Super Bowl

There aren't 15 QBs better than Darnold. 5 for sure. 10 arguably. But not 15.

I’d take these guys over Darnold: Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Mahomes, Stafford, Herbert, Goff, Maye, Lawrence, Hurts, Love, Purdy, Dak, Daniels, Caleb, Mayfield, Nix. That’s 17. What about you?

    Goff is 40 years old
    Stafford is 38
    Mahones 32
    Dak 30

    Sam Darnold is only 28.

You really want to build your franchise around Stafford or Goff when you could have a dynasty?

    Goff is 31.

Mahomes and Dak are objectively much better than Darnold? What’s the point in bringing up their ages when they’re better. They’re not anywhere near aging out of playing the position.

This all sounds like a topic for the endless ESPN hot take shows.

"What QBs are you taking over Darnold?"

    "Is Dak elite?"

    "How is Goff already 40?"

Ok, so I made up the last one :p

I definitely wouldn't take Lawrence or Nix over Darnold. Mayfield and Purdy I would put in the same tier as Darnold; Purdy's numbers are better, but the Shanahan offense inflates QB numbers. I also don't think it's fair to put Daniels and Caleb on that list while also keeping Stafford on it. Either we're going based on long-term value, in which case Stafford has to come off because he only has a couple years left, or we're going based on current ability, in which case Caleb is not better than Darnold, and Daniels just spent half the season injured because he can't protect himself.
