Thanks China. I think this one is gonna be ugly. Some areas could get 3 inches of ice, that will be mass power outages.

This place has been a FU@KING Ghost town, I wonder why ? ;)
Brook " SIR " I appreciate your effort - IF anyone ever says that you are not a good man , just point em out :) with that being said welcome back to New Jersey. This storm threat is most definitely on the table as the hype on social media and on your apps is very real. Cold air in place with a shitload of moisture = recipe for a good old fashioned snowstorm,,,,,,,,,,For days now all the weather models have been showing a storm signal and when " all of the weather models" agree days in advance that usually means " we had better start watching and paying attention " - would you look at all these comas ----> ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,States South of NY n NJ might get crushed with ice and IF that happens it will be devastating but as far as us = I would get my snow blower ready and yep go get some gas,,, milk and eggs won't hurt either lol and oh yeah start the generator for shits and giggles, make sure it's running. There is still time for changes but as the Great and powerful Jaywayne would say = " all the players are on the field " !!! BTW mixing could be an issue as far up North as NY n NJ as the midlevels MIGHT warm and if they do regardless of how cold the temperature is outside those places would get ice - so that is something to keep an eye on,,,as far as snow totals - it is 4 days away and too early for that but as I said this one has the goods. .Now Brook and friends if there is nothing else that I can do for you at the moment then myself along with my lovely Kotex avatar will now be heading out for lunch :D

Looks like the new blower will get tested on this next storm. They're calling for 12"-18" here in Central PA.

    No, just no stinky :(

I loved it better when we had snowless winters. This year snow after snow. I am sick and tired of it really. I will change your avatar to a Snow Blower. Permission?

Totally agree. I have loved the snowless winters the last few years, and am very unhappy about how this one continues to be shaping up.

Brook you and I have had this talk so why would you want to change my beautiful kotex avatar ? No sir you don't have my permission and the avatar stays the same as IMO it's the best avatar on TGG = it is a reminder that I lost that battle but I certainly won that war :D,,,,,,now back on topic as it's gonna snow kids and IF you hate snow then you better get ready because there is a chance that we MIGHT get another one next week but first things first ---> Let it Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow

Headed out today for 100lbs of salt, fill a 5gal can of ethanol-free gas just in case my new E-blower craps out. Then going to charge 4 - 10hr batteries so wifey can run it while I once again use the Ariens. 12"-18" still on the table for Central PA into Monday AM.

Just a heads up to EVERYONE as most of us might be looking at a serious dump of snow and then mixing or changing to a serious dump of sleet and ice as nothing is off the table right now and the snow amounts that your apps and that the media are telling us about are balderdash as this is NOT a done deal yet BUT whatever does fall will not be melting anytime soon as the temps are going to be VERY COLD for days-------and BTW if you live North n West of NYC like I do you currently still have snow on the ground from last weekend-----whatever falls Sunday MIGHT come in like gangbusters but it aint going anywhere anytime soon and PS the long range shows a possible BIG event on the other side of this one next week ,,,,,,first things first

I can tell you that you are much closer to Gettysburg than you are to The Liberty Bell :) as far as amounts NOTHING is written in stone yet all the numbers are balderdash ,,,,,,,,there is going to be a transfer of energy from one LOW to another LOW along the coast and IMO if that transfer happens sooner its better for everyone regardless of whether you want snow or not because IF it that transfer occurs later ------> sleet and ice could be more of an issue for many

    30mins from Gettyburg. :)

They're at 12"-18" here without any changeover. Not sure if you can trust the YouTube Weathermen but they're all in agreement for once on the timing and depth.

Ariens snowblower warmed up and ready. 5 gals of ethanol free gas ready. 4-10AH batteries ready for my EGO Snowblower. 250lbs of Salt..

    Bring it!!!

Forget all that - get out the white lithium grease for optimum performance in your Lazy-BoyI It's going to be a long weekend. Don't forget the batteries in your remote and pray you don't lose power.

First off Jwayne and FjayF = you guys are missed more than you will ever know and I am not just talking about on the site or in this thread ,,,,,,,,,,,,,as far as the storm I will say this again even though the NAM is a shit model you cannot just toss it especially when it is alone on an island by itself with little if any support from other weather models because it is just very good at sniffing out the midlevels / warm noses and that is probable all that it is good for. So the NAM will either hit one out of the park here or it will fall flat. Hopefully by later on tonight it comes around to the other models line of thinking and trends whiter and colder and not wetter and warmer-----these setups tend to always disappoint and rarely do they live up to the hype and that is just a fact but this ridiculous cold air that we have in place is literally help drive this thing but-as far as the numbers that you see on your apps = toss them ,,,,,,as far as what the weather guys on TV or social media are saying ,it all depends on which model they follow or trust as the #'s I see them predicting are all over the place,,,,,,,,,,I can say this The National Weather Service is for the most part sticking to their guns and they are very bullish on this storm BUT if you have watched closely these past 2 days they have adjusted and lowered their #'s slightly with each weather statement,,,,,,,,,,,,that said I will take a shot at this because it is what I do - I think most everyone gets snow and most everyone sees a big thump of it,,,start time is always earlier than advertised in these types of setups but most models show it beginning between 2 and 5 am so figure by day break or sooner it is snowing and IMO by 9 am it's getting cranking,,,,and by noon or 1 pm it should come down really hard for 5 or 6 hours again IF NOT SOONER ----BUT BUT BUT does it mix or changeover during that time ? Because if it does then all the #s change ,,,I am not sure where the mixing line winds up as the models have been kind of all over the place at times and I have seen models ( Nam ) show sleet way south and all the way up to Poughkeepsie ----- with that here goes------------> NYC and the 5 boroughs 6-10 is your floor with a much higher ceiling especially IF you do not mix or changeover,,,,,,,Long Island is a tougher call as I will give you the same #'s and scenario as the boroughs but Eastern Long Island I have more concerns with mixing issues,,,,,,,IF you live in South Jersey especially along the coast I think you could may have mixing issues also just as Eastern Long Island does but again this goes for anyone regardless of where u live but all of you should get a big thump of snow before the change over IF the changeover even happens---- IF you start to hear pinging anytime after 12 pm and before 4pm then IMO you are having mixing issues as much of the heavier snow should fall between noon ant 6pm. Central Jersey same #'s 6-10 If you get more be happy if you get less blame me -----------anyone north of the Tappen Zee bridge IMO is looking at a floor of 9 -12 inches with a higher ceiling with no mixing and if you get up towards Monroe, Monticello and farther North Im talking anyone above 84 I think u are looking at 12 to 18 ,,,,,,,,,,,,Cman I did not forget about you as I think you are looking at 9-12 without mixing and again your ceiling is higher,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Brook as usual is in the bullseye and as usual he gets buried :):D that said I am not sure where Brookj even lives in in Jersey these days lol---------ok I gave it my best shot and If I get it right = look at me and IF I get it wrong it wont be the last time,,,,,,,,,,,ps as I wrote this long mess I cant help but think that I am really concerned about what The NAM has been showing for days because IF it is right then what you just read will not come close,,,,,,,,,we find out soon enough as game time is very close and the players are ion the field
