Alot of otherwise intelligent people become very stupid at the prospect of hope when it comes to drafting QB’s, but Zach took the cake. Sach had every sign of an overinflated prospect. No one knew this kid before his final season during Covid. No one looked at the fact BYU was aiming to bench him or at least have him compete for his job before the season started, but didn’t have the opportunity to really allow for it due to Covid. They still took away his Captain role. They never looked at the fact this kid played a season against one of the most cupcake schedules in history because of Covid, in front of empty seats. They tried so desperately to compare him to Mahomes because his plays were all off schedule and he could make odd angled throws. Off schedule plays against the awful competition he faced wasn’t a positive, it was clear proof this kid couldn’t run a standard offense and read a defense. I was absolutely ridiculed on this site by leading up to the draft for pointing these things out.
Yep, I hadn't been that mad at a draft selection since Vernon Gholston. At least vern just sucked.... and didn't spawn insane pollution of the board
QB drafting is not an exact science. Shanahan of all people got it even more wrong with Lance after trading a fortune to get him. That's the guy you would think know a thing or two about the QBs. Which QBs did you want to draft in that draft, the one that's coming up, and other drafts that you feel entitled to call people stupid for not getting it right?
Actually, a lot of people thought this at the time and in fact said so on this very board. Frankly, I’d prefer the Jets follow the collective blended wisdom on this board than their own scouting department.
This 1,000,000%!!!!!!!!!! I don’t know who’s in the scouting department but whoever it is, they fucking suck! Not only that, but they’ve sucked for years!
Packers roll over and die vs Ravens meaning Steelers have to play hard against the Browns. Raiders shut down the best of their roster. Who are you guys praying to? Satan? Quinton Coples?
I'm actually looking forward to watching today's Giants-Raiders game at 4 today. These days I don't get to watch the Giants much and I think this will be the first time I watch the Raiders this season. Francesa has been mentioning this rookie Jeanty this season so I'm looking forward to watching him.
