And the minute he sees the possibility of being drafted by the team, formerly of NFL caliber players and coaches, he'll make the intelligent decision to stay in school and make a crap ton of money. Maybe his draft stock will be a bit safer in 2027.

Usually the teams at the top are crap. It could be the same exact teams even in 2027 minus the one that get Mendoza. I believe it makes sense for Moore to come out now, because he is a top 3 pick, and maybe even #1. Who knows what the future holds. And even if all works out well, he lost a prime year of earnings. You still have to go through a 4 year NFL contract before you can make fuck you money. And if you declare later that time will come a year later, so you lose you prime earning year. And it's not like you can player a year longer if you declare later, you still end at the same time.

So for Moore, I think he is ready now, he will go high, and I just don't see an upside to stay. He just led his team to top 5 rankings, he won a play-off game. His OC is leaving elsewhere to be a HC. I just think it makes a lot more sense to declare even in spite of NIL money. But I don't know what these guys think, so we will see.

The exercise I was conducting, players staying in college vs. getting drafted by super shitty teams, was one that no one was talking about and, in this day and age, would NOT surprise me in the slightest if a player or multiple players chose to stay in the warm confines of College, making bank, vs. coming out. Also, let me be crystal clear, I'm talking about QB's ONLY. It's the only position, really, where ending up on a super shitty team, or, in the Jets case, a perennially shitty team can completely wreck your career.

The NFL is the football mecca but only if said player is actually able to play longer than the contract he is drafted under. At the QB position, unlike all the others, a team can fully destroy any semblance of a career before contract 1 is fulfilled.

So much is going to change between now and the draft. We will get to see Mendoza, Moore and Simpson in "biggest stage" type games and an exceptionally good or bad performance could shake things up big time. And then there's the combine which, IMO none of these guys is good enough to skip.

Definitely feels like a month ago signs were that he was going to return, but the last month has swung in favor of him declaring (Oregon OC moving on etc). Think it's more likely he declares as of today.

I would definitely trade up to #1 in this case and draft Moore. I know it will cost us, but hopefully Indy can lose a few more times and that pick will be more valuable. But to me, if there is a shot at Moore, we need to take it. To go into next year without a promising QB and waste another year with Glenn is just too hard to imagine. If we get Moore, at least I can get through another shitty year with some hope.

I can’t get too animated by that one, when whoever did it is clearly stupid. 100% with you on spending a pick on Woods as a QW replacement. Plus, I just don’t get how Clemson has three projected first round picks, from preseason until now, on a 7-5 team in the weakest P4 conference, with a defense that doesn’t even crack the top-50. I mean, I get it but I don’t. But that guy’s mock draft has us taking two of them.

Also think anyone who has Makai Lemon the third receiver off the board - which most do - hasn’t watched enough Makai Lemon.

Some all 22 film and Joe Blewett's , jetsxfactor cofounder, analysis on the 1st play-off game for Simpson and Moore.

I like Joe a lot, don't always agree, but he has some good insight. In this case we do agree on a lot. I was saying Simpson is a 1st round pick if he declares and maybe top half, and I really liked the play-off game. Noted a few drops too and Joe showed.it. Showed all 22 of a great catch, and also said was not a good play, like we all agreed, but did not mention as being int worthy or anything like that. Showed some high level throws as well by Simpson. Showed where he got to 4th read and made some throws. Overall, a really good game. As a prospect I really do not like that he is short and older. But if he measures 6-2 and we cannot get into top 2, we may need to take him with the Colts pick.

Good review on Moore as well. He is not as high on Moore as me, but I really like the upside and also the fact the guy is 3 years younger and is performing on similar level or better as Mendoza and Simpson to me means a lot. He is also a little taller than Simpson and has a bigger arm than Mendoza. Plus I love the quick release. And he processes very quickly as well and was going through 3-4 reads in this game at times. The second INT was pretty bad upon all 22 review, but overall a terrific game. Joe also noted the same throw I mentioned before, reads left then goes to middle to fit the dime between 3 defenders. Would love to have this guy here.

    Simpson: 10:45
    Moore: 48:30
