No. He has absolutely no obligation to ask the coach what he can write. Does a financial writer need to ask Elon Musk if he can write that his new robots are not getting the job done? Does a political writer need to check in with a candidate before writing who's leading in the polls? Do food or theater critics need to give chefs and producers a shot at getting better before panning the offerings? Of course not! Why is sports any different?
Anybody besides me thinks that bringing GW back this season is a complete waste and unecessary? Might as well let GW heal up completely and bring him back for TC in '26.
Add me to the list. There is zero need to have GW out there getting his head knocked off. Heal up and PRAY there's a real QB under center to throw to him in 2026. Wow, I HATE the fact that, yet again, we're in this position. So tired of our season being over by Halloween. <sigh>
