The drunken post-loss tantrum from Woody should be epic!

Go figure the one time I have a Sunday wedding to go to, we have the 930 game and I don’t even have an excuse to miss it.

This should be a disaster. Broncos have a good D, two good receivers and a dangerous RB. I’m expecting another blowout where we don’t show up for 3 quarters and then Fields has 150 yards passing when we’re down 17 in the fourth.

I haven't needed to use an illegal stream to watch the Jets lose even once this season. The NFL is so accomodating.

from now on I am going to tune in only for the fourth quarter so I can watch the Jets get some garbage time scores and pretend there are some positives

and Glenn will point to that as justification to keep trotting Fckup Fields out there when in fact, those numbers are skewed as the game usually is out of reach. $30M wasted..

Fun fact… We haven’t scored a touchdown in any of the last four games until we were down by at least two touchdowns.

    Crazy

I think this game will be as bad if not worse than the Dallas game…Denver’s defense is really good…I would not be shocked if we get shut out…and likely we score under 10 this week.

    I predict U G L Y

And this is why box scores mean almost nothing. You'd hope our front office isn't dumb enough to buy into a single but of Fields' raw numbers.

    Connor Hughes
    @Connor_J_Hughes

Justin Fields is 29 of 44 for 248 yards with 3 TD and 0 INTs passing in the fourth quarter of games this season. That's 32% of his yards and 75% of his TDs (all but one).

    - 16/22, 132, 2 TD yesterday
    - 9/13, 116, TD vs Dolphins
    - 0/2 vs Bills (injured)
    - 4/7, 45 yards vs Pitt

When the fourth quarter began in those games
    - Jets leading Pitt, 27-17
    - Jets trailing Bills, 20-3
    - Jets trailing Dolphins, 24-10
    - Jets trailing Cowboys, 30-6

Exactly! Stats are stats and you can’t change facts. BUT…you need the context.

And this is the textbook example of context that TOTALLY changes your outlook. Is he the only problem? No. Definitely not. Lots of fumbles and lots of penalties. But man watching that Dallas game yesterday there were too many times when I was screaming at the TV…THROW IT ALREADY!! Way too many. Is it likely that maybe there was no one to throw to? Hard to tell on the game broadcast, and sure I’ll grant that it may be, but no way is the the case on every time. He is a very frustrating QB to watch, because he has raw talent…he’s better than Zach was because he’s physically more athletic and is a much more electric runner, and he’s not making the boneheaded interceptions that Zach made too often, but outside of that, he is pretty much the same QB. Neither guy sees the field. Neither guy throws with anticipation.

I watch all the games on the NFL App because they have the condensed views where they just show all the plays back to back and cut out commercials and the dead time in between snaps…you can’t watch the entire game in about 35-40 minutes. I watch them all. With the good QB’s you see them throw ahead of the receiver and oh my god the receiver runs right to the ball and it’s just a beautiful thing to watch. Call it what you want…accuracy, anticipation, knowledge of the playbook coupled with a receiver on the same page, whatever. But whatever it is, Zach didn’t have it and Fields doesn’t have it. He has to SEE the receiver open and THEN throw it…and his windup is long so his throws are often not accurate. It’s painful to watch. It was totally clear and obvious when we had Zach and we saw the proof first hand when literally ANYONE we put out there not named Zach seemed to just light it up…Josh Johnson, Mike White, Joe Flacco…whoever.

It’s the same with Fields…on the positive, he’s not throwing backbreaking picks. And if you just look at the game stats it looks like he’s playing great ball…but when you really look at the big picture, it’s just garbage time. Teams let up with big leads.

I have a feeling the Denver game will be ugly as I think that’s one of the better defenses we have played, and I just don’t get the feeling that Payton will let up. I think his D is going to come after us for 4 quarters and I think they are going to put the beat down on us. Could very well be a shut out … would not shock me at all

    Fun fact? o_O

Here's a fun fact. The Jets haven't beaten Miami in Miami since 2014. Oh, wait, that was the debacle before the latest debacle. My apologies.

Count your blessings for God giving you reasons that will make you miss this game. Some of us are not as lucky as you.

The Jets should make NFL history by making a change after a loss in London 2 years in a row.

Sunday is usually my only day of the week to sleep in. There's no way I'm getting up early to watch this debacle.

I think he's saying the wedding is later in the day which will give him no excuse to miss the game.

At least it will give him a reason to drink a lot at the wedding later on. They should probably put all the Jets fans at the same table.

Can I ask a question? Why trot anyone else out? Seriously? Are you "trying" to win a game? I want 0-17. I want THE pick. If we are going to be saddled with this regime for, at minimum, 2 years then I want NO excuses. I don't want to hear that we "had" to go with a guy like Wilson because the best were already taken, yada yada yada. After the #1 pick in the 2026 draft there will be NO excuses. There are some decent QB's coming this next year and I want NO Excuses.

Besides Taylor can be the long term backup, why in the hell would you want to "break" him if they don't have to. Fields is getting paid a small king's ransom to go out there and compete. So let him compete.
