Bengals | Palmer frustrated with arrests Tue, 23 Jan 2007 10:29:35 -0800 Geoff Hobson, of Bengals.com, reports Cincinnati Bengals QB Carson Palmer has grown increasingly frustrated with the off-the-field behavior of some of his teammates. Palmer spoke out following the arrest of CB Johnathan Joseph for marijuana possession. "It has to stop," Palmer said. "If it doesn't stop, we're not going to have any fans left and I don't blame them. It's ridiculous. We can't get through a month without getting a guy arrested. It happens on another team and they're shocked and surprised to hear about it. With us, you hear about it and it doesn't surprise you and you just shake your head and say, 'Another one.' " i agree with him 100%
It is good to see Palmer assume the role of leader. I lost a little respect for him when he basically admitted he wasn't mentally ready to take the field after his Kimo Von Off. induced injury.
good to see him step up and call out the crooks on his team. Takes guts to do that, because he has some violent criminals as teammates who might not like what he said.
I hope (and assume) that he talked to the front office about this before he made the statement, since the only way this is going to change is if the team dumps a few of these guys to send a clear message to the rest of them.
this has nothin to do with the subject but.....just imagine.........................Carson Palmer was a Jets I would bust.
Way to go Carson. It is a few months late, but it's about time that team had a voice besides Marvin Lewis (and Chad's mouth)
he should have spoke up after the 2nd or maybe the 3rd... what are they up to now this year? The ninth? too late IMO
Yes! Being a 'passenger' in a car with marijuana is against good and this evil plant is a danger to good-doers in the nation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like several before me has stated, it's about damn time someone took the reins and said this has to stop. Remember years ago when it was the Cowboys that played games in between court dates? Reminds me of an old joke. "How do you clear the Dallas bench? Say "will the defendants please rise."
