At the time nobody thought he would be this good, but the Jets could have selected Josh Allen instead Sam Darnold.
I think limiting the selection to the draft makes more sense because you could choose Terry Bradshaw or Joe Montana or any HOFer. In 2017, the Jets drafted Jamal Adams even though they were in desperate need of a QB. They passed on DeShaun Watson, who was my pick, Patrick Mahomes and Christian McCaffrey. I know Watson turned out to be a d^ck, and maybe wishful thinking but if he was here instead of Houston, might not have gotten into trouble. We all know what Mahomes could have done for the Jets. However, even if the Jets had taken McCaffrey, with Darnold coming the following year, that combination was a winner in Carolina a few years later. So any of those three.
John Lynch He was great to watch, and we ALMOST had him in 2004 to reunite with Herm Edwards. Lynch in our secondary would've awesome for years.
I'm convinced that if the Jets had drafted Dan Marino ... Kenny O'Brien would be in the Hall of Fame.
