TJ for Schmidt. Pretty sure it's his second, which may be a career killer.

Resigning Bellinger has reached the no brainer category.

With last night's win, the Yanks have now flipped places with the Cubs for the best run differential in MLB at +117. That's almost 100 runs more than the Blue Jay's differential (+21) and yet the Jays are two games up. Can that be explained by anything other than bad luck and/or poor managing? There really should be no way the Jays can hold off the Yankees over an entire season.

Yesterday’s game is a good example as to why that’s misleading though. Winning 11-0 counts the same as winning 1-0. It’s nice for the fans in attendance to pour runs on in the 8th against mop up pitchers and all but it skews the stats.

I don’t feel like searching for it but it’d be interesting to see how many blowouts they have like that versus other teams and what their close game record is against a team like the Tigers. Closer games require good fielding and a good bullpen which the Yanks have not yielded up until this point. Maybe the DJ DFA and Jazz back to second thing will help that along. Volpe’s also been garbage in the field so that doesn’t help.

The Yankees have to be the best team in league history at hitting meaningless late homers. That’s been a trend since A-Rod got here and he passed the strength on to Judge and friends.

The Yankees are poorly constructed and will lose games when the opposition scores 3 runs or less probably more than anyone in baseball. But they have enough hitters to probably have more 7 plus run games than anyone in baseball, but will lose a chunk of those because they have no bullpen.

I've poured over it at an unhealthy level. No other playoff contention team has more glaring holes than the Yankees, and only starting pitching is injury related.

I felt a lot better about this team 2 months ago. With the injuries to the bullpen and starting staff, to go with probably the worst SS and 3rd baseman in baseball I don't think they are a competitive playoff team at this moment.

Today's game is a good example. They are facing a really good pitcher, they have 2 hits.

They need to make moves at the deadline, and Warren needs to be 100 percent available.

They won’t sell but this team definitely shouldn’t buy that big at the deadline. The east is too competitive and they’re just too deficient in the pen and through the infield. Peraza/the 3rd base platoon they have might be the worse in franchise history.

Jazz embarrassed himself in the HR derby.

Vivas didn’t run hard or slide at 3rd tagging up from second and got thrown out by Acuna on a frozen rope. Judge on deck.

If you’re Boone he INSTANTLY needs to be on the bench and yelled at. What the flying fuck?!

    Yankees answered the bell tonight.

That was an important game to finish.
