Vegas has Jets at 5.5 wins. We do this every year and why not this year. End of the season I will bumpt this thread up to see who said what and made the right prediction. Here is our schedule for the year. How many wins do you see in this schedule? Week 1 Steelers Home Week 2 Bills Home Week 3 Buccaneers Away Week 4 Dolphins Away Week 5 Cowboys Home Week 6 Broncos Home (London) Week 7 Panthers Home Week 8 Bengals Away Week 9 Bye Week — Week 10 Browns Home Week 11 Patriots Away Week 12 Ravens Away Week 13 Falcons Home Week 14 Dolphins Home Week 15 Jaguars Away Week 16 Saints Away Week 17 Patriots Home Week 18 Bills Away
Need to see how the Pre-season goes before I can make an educated guess at a win total. I'll start the bidding at 7wins though.
Let’s see, How many wins, maximum, can we have and still have a shot at one of the good QB’s that will be in next year’s draft? I bet we win one more than that.
Boss. Preseason games are garbage and won't change my opinion one bit. I think we will over achieve Vegas win total and win 7 games. Maybe 8 at most. Not good enough to make it to playoffs not bad enough to be in a good position to draft a QB next year. Hence my apathy for this season.
Super early to really have a good idea, but still fun to do anyway…honestly 3 wins wouldn’t shock me but neither would like 7, so for me at least, it’s hard to get a gauge on it. And there definitely is something to the Jets aura that we always seems to over deliver when expectations are low and then WAY under deliver when expectations are high. It is what it is, but that holds true more often than not in Jets world. So all that being said, I voted for 6 wins. The opener vs. Pitt sure seems like a must win because we look like huge underdogs in the next three games, and probably even the 4th one at Dallas…if we start 0-1 I can see a quick spiral to like 0-5 or 1-4. And Vegas is usually pretty damn good at setting these…so yeah… I’ll go with 6 for now, but may change my mind after seeing how the offense comes together through training camp and preseason, and yeah I agree that preseason doesn’t mean shit as its all vanilla, but we just have seen nothing of our new offense…new QB, new system, new OC…I’d like to see at least something of what they plan on doing…I’m optimistic about our OL and RB group, I’m down on our WR group, and hopeful but skeptical on Fields, so I’m hoping for the best but I can also see this offense continue to suck…
I'm more concerned about the "intangibles" and trends that sometimes you can see developing in PreSeason. All these 1st timers in critical decision making positions will need to get up to speed pretty damn quick. I need to see the "style" the CS plans to implement and execute and is it feasible in today's game. If they could win 5 games with Nate Hackett and Robert Saleh, they certainly should be at least 2 games better with Glenn. 7 wins.
I'd say 7. i have no faith in this team, really. Unless the QB surprises us and plays beyond what he's capable of doing, there's no chance we make the playoffs. Way too many good teams to bypass in the AFC, in my opinion.
